项目简介

• 西澳大学短期访学项目由西澳大学主办，每年暑期、寒假接收来自全世界的数百名青年

学生访问学习。中国地区在校本科生、研究生均可申请该项目，访学时间一般为2-4周，

以团队方式组织和开展，根据报名人数同批或分批次赴西澳大学学习。

• 西澳大学短期访学项目内容丰富，课程主要分为三个方向：英语与澳大利亚文化、理工

科、商科等。内容包括英语语言/文化/专业课程、活动课、课题研究、悉尼、堪培拉文

化参访周等，注册为西澳大学访学学生，获得学生证，完成课程后可获得西澳大学颁发

的结业证书。世界百强大学的学习机会加上澳洲无与伦比的自然风光，使该项目在世界

名校访学项目中享有盛誉。

• 访学期间，上午一般为英语语言/文化/专业课程，由西澳大学教师全英文授课，真实感

受名校课堂；下午一般为活动课，包括珀斯城市参观考察，野生动物园和袋鼠、考拉亲

密接触，国王公园探索澳洲动植物等；周末还有海豚中心一日考察等活动课；访学期间

还要完成课题研究和结业报告等。

• 文化参访（可选）从珀斯飞往悉尼、堪培拉进行为期1周的参观交流活动。拟访问高校为

澳洲国立大学、悉尼大学；参观悉尼、堪培拉两地著名景点；组织蓝山一日游、澳洲农

场体验日、BBQ等活动。丰富多彩的活动使学生在有限的时间内尽可能更多和更深入地了

解澳洲的高等教育、人文景观、产业经济等，提升访学价值。

• 访学课程期间入住珀斯当地寄宿家庭，融入最地道的澳洲生活，非常有利于提高英语沟

通和交流能力，深入体验澳洲生活和了解澳洲文化；文化参访周入住悉尼市区酒店。

《English Skills Improvement》This unit helps you to develop your ability to communicate in English along with a variety of useful language skills including: reading and understanding different types of English texts taking part with ease in conversations and discussions listening to and understanding different varieties of spoken English speaking clearly with easily understood pronunciation using vocabulary to convey meaning well

《Australian Culture》This unit focuses on topics about Australian culture such as Australian People Today, Australian Sports & Festivals, Indigenous Australian, Australian Politics, and Australian Native Fauna & Environment. In this unit, students can know more about Australian animals, food, sports, movies, and songs and improve international view.

《Cross Culture Analysis》Cross-cultural studies is an adaptation of the term cross-cultural to describe a branch of literary and cultural studies associated with more than one culture. Practitioners of cross-cultural studies often use the term cross-culturalism to describe discourses involving cultural interactivity, or to promote various forms of cultural interactivity. This unit helps students understand the differences of Chinese Culture and Australian Culture better.

《Critical Thinking》The list of core critical thinking skills includes observation, interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation, and metacognition. According to Reynolds, an individual or group engaged in a strong way of critical thinking gives due consideration to establish for instance: Evidence through reality Context skills to isolate the problem from context Relevant criteria for making the judgment well Applicable methods or techniques for forming the judgment Applicable theoretical constructs for understanding the problem and the question at hand

理工专业课程描述

《Global Challenges in Engineering》This unit lies at the start of the pathway to becoming an engineer. There are many personal and professional skills and knowledge which need to be gained in order to make use of the technical knowledge. In the unit, students are able to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the environmental, social and economic context in which engineering is practised, and enhanced creative thinking and appreciate the barriers to creative thought.

《Communicating Science》What is scientific knowledge, how does it develop and how can it be more effectively communicated? How do you determine credibility of 'scientific' information and decide what information to use and how to use it appropriately? Students find, examine and critically analyse information relating to a scientific topic. They learn to discuss their findings, write a scientific article and give an oral presentation. In this unit, students are able to have an awareness and understanding of scientific practices, including the scientific method, development of scientific knowledge and communication about that knowledge to others.

《Problem Solving and Programming》Problem solving is a key intellectual activity. Computer technology has become an important tool to help solve problems in a wide range of disciplines, from the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics to business, architecture, the social sciences and medicine. While effective programs are available for many kinds of tasks, each program can only perform the tasks anticipated when it was designed. Thus to fully utilise the potential of computer technology, it is necessary to build programs that are specifically designed to solve a particular problem. Students taking this unit learn to solve problems via programming, with a focus on building small programs for specialised tasks.

《Environmental Science and Technology》The unit content is delivered through modules related to: climate change and carbon pollution; catchment development and water resource management; biodiversity loss and conservation; land degradation; coastal systems; and cities. Through these lenses, the unit looks to explain lessons to ensure students establish the connection between environmental processes and the manifestation of environmental degradation and recovery.

《Cultures, New Media and Communications》This unit examines media not just as tools of communication, but also how they shape what can and cannot be said and seen, and hence the sorts of societies we live in. In today's modern societies it is important to understand the nexus between power and the media. Topics will be chose among how the limits and differences of oral, written and visual languages have had an impact on ways of knowing and thinking about the world; the relationship between particular media, regimes of representation and social formations; the development of the image including the invention of perspective, photography and realism; virtuality; digital media and modernity; and theories of social control and media production and resistance.

《Prices and Markets》This is an introductory unit in microeconomics. Topics will be chose among an introduction to the economic problem; the determination of prices; demand and supply; market failure and the role of government; and market structure. Students are able to explain, demonstrate and apply various economic models to real life situations; demonstrate the ability to produce clear and concise written and oral communication in an economic context to a variety of audiences; develop competencies to work effectively in teams; and recognise, understand and respond appropriately to ethical, cultural, social and sustainability issues.

《Leadership and Performance》This unit helps students to develop the knowledge and skills required to be an effective leader. It presents several models of leadership and discusses how they relate to performance. Students learn skills in relation to self-awareness, emotional intelligence, self-leadership and other leadership competencies. Students discover and reflect on their own leadership competencies and focus on the development of specific skill areas throughout the unit.

《Models of Asian Business》This unit examines the business practices underpinning business models in the Asian region, especially those that are becoming more dominant in the region. Students are able to develop a familiarity and a critical understanding of core concepts used and develop an informed understanding of contextual factors that affect management practices in the Asian region;

第4周文化参访日程解读

Day 1 (星期日）：告别寄宿家庭，前往珀斯机场搭乘航班飞往悉尼，抵达后，导游接机送往酒

店入住休息。

Day 2（星期一）：早餐后游览悉尼市区名胜,包括：悉尼歌剧院、悉尼海港大桥、岩石区、皇

家植物园等。 歌剧院整个建筑占地 1.84 公顷,长 183 米,宽 118 米,高 67 米,相当于 20 层

楼的高度。而悉尼海港大桥则是悉尼歌剧院明信片的完美背景,在距离水面 147 米的高处遥望

悉尼歌剧院,这个角度绝对独一无二,也是摄取港口全景的绝佳地点。 中午来到鱼市场享用午餐

，悉尼鱼市场创建于1945年，是南半球最大的同类市场，作为全球第三大海鲜市场，每天多达

数百种海鲜上市，是旅行者必来之地。下午市区解散自由活动，尽情体验悉尼这座城市。

Day 3（星期二）： 驱车南下澳洲首都堪培拉,抵达后前往参观人工湖、喷泉、首都展览馆。途

经联邦大桥,前往堪培拉皇家铸币厂参观，学生更可亲手铸造全新的一元硬币，参观堪培拉国会

大厦。下午由澳国立大学本地学生（或老师）带领参观澳洲国立大学，该校是一所享誉世界的

顶尖研究型大学，澳洲八大名校之首，南半球唯一位列世界 20 强的大学。晚上返回悉尼。

Day 4（星期三）： 早晨，在朝着伍伦贡前进的路上，秃头山会是第一个关注点，180度的宽阔

海景将令人赞叹不已，有时还可以发现一些悬挂式滑翔机。驾车穿过海崖大桥将收获海岸线的

迷人景色，大桥拥抱伊拉瓦拉悬崖高城垛之间的海岸，浩瀚的塔斯曼海如此的宽阔，几乎可以

感受到地球的曲线。接着就到了农场主家，与农场主家庭一起参加农场活动和用餐，包括澳式

牛排午餐、挤牛奶、农场巡游、辨认牲畜、牧羊剪羊毛、圈羊、观看牧羊犬工作、领羊驼、剪

羊驼毛、喂鸡鸭、丛林漫步、收集木柴点燃篝火制作土著人烤面包、 赶牲畜、 当地观光等。

第4周文化参访日程解读

Day 5 (星期四）：驱车沿三⼗二号公路直上海拔一千一百⽶高的蓝⼭三姐妹峰,三姐妹峰 (The

Three Sisters)是蓝⼭最知名、最受欢迎的旅游景点之⼀。分别乘坐⾼空缆车、丛林⽕车及丛

林缆车在不同⾓角度感受蓝⼭的雄伟壮阔，也可以徒步探寻Wentworth Fall的壮美。在蓝⼭集

体烧烤，享受BBQ的乐趣，学生可以准备个人solo，展现自己的风采。

Day 6（星期五）：赴悉尼大学进行参观交流，悉尼⼤学是澳大利亚历史最悠久和最负盛名的⼤大学,被称为“澳⼤利亚第一校”在世界范围内亦是最优秀的高等学府之一。 悉尼大学有多个

久负盛名的博物馆,其中的Nicholson博物馆内收藏了许多古埃及、古希腊和古罗马的珍贵⽂文

物，包括许多世界级珍宝。之后游览屈臣氏湾，屈臣氏湾位于悉尼港的入口，以陡峭的悬崖与

滔天巨浪而闻名。海面上停满了私人帆船和游艇，长期以来屈臣氏湾已成为悉尼当地人和旅行

者休闲旅游的理想场所。随后来到邦迪海滩，是悉尼最著名的海滩之一，如果想要了解悉尼本

地人是如何享受生活，最好的方法就是到邦迪海滩去感受一番。下午自由活动购物，傍晚集合

前往悉尼国际机场，晚上乘坐航班返回中国。

Day 7（星期六）： 抵达中国，结束愉快的澳洲访学之旅。（*以上日程可能根据需要或实时资

源情况微调）
