Inside this issue:

Since their arrival in January, Ea-

gle Forward Support Company has hit the

ground running, taking over all logistical

support on FOB Warrior. As daunting as

this task is, soldiers of this amazing com-

pany have taken every assignment given to

them in stride proving not only that they

have been well trained, but also that they

are beyond a shadow of a doubt the best for

the job at hand. Everyday this group of elite

soldiers continue to maintain vehicles, re-

fuel aircraft, feed the FOB and move sup-

plies around the battlefield. It is no surprise

to their leaders, that the fruits of their labor

over the previous 18 months prior to our

deployment are paying off. Eagle Com-

pany soldiers are ready for anything that

may come their way! Many of the tasks

that Eagle Company has fallen in on are

not the “typical” Light Infantry FSC mis-

sions. You wouldn’t know it, however,

because despite these slight changes Sol-

diers of Eagle Company, learned their

new duties, adapted and soldiered on as

they have continuously done. There’s a

long road ahead, but Eagle Company is

up to any challenge that should present

itself.

EAGLE COMPANY receives the 10TH

mountain division combat patch

March 15, 2013

EAGLE (FSC) TAKES THE LEAD ON ALL

FOB WARRIOR LOGISTICAL SUPPORT

On February 22, 2013 Eagle Forward Support Company re-

ceived it’s 10th Mountain Infantry Division Combat Patch

and became part of a history extending back to World War I.

The Combat Patch is

worn on the right arm

and signifies that a

soldier has served in a

combat zone.

be part of a Triple Deuce History...A

part of a brotherhood for years to

come..” - LTC Funck

As always, headquarters per-

sonnel are the masterminds behind the

machine of Eagle Company. Operations

are very smooth thanks to the hard

work of the Soldiers in our section. SSG

Wroten and SPC Sailor have been hold-

ing the fort when it comes to feeding

the FOB, ensuring that the entire bat-

talion gets the fuel they need to con-

tinue operating. SSG Paul and SGT

Garcia also did a great job of feeding at

Muqor by themselves, quite the feat.

SPC Porter has taken on jobs

way outside of his realm and performed

admirably, making sure that communi-

cations between various groups runs

smoothly, and helping the XO whenever

he needs help with his tasks. The 1SG

has been putting some work in, making

the rounds and clearing the FOB.

SGT Mendoza managed to re-

model a huge portion of the area of op-

eration and still finds time to get his

truck driving on. And none of the opera-

tions would be possible without a good

supply sergeant, and SGT Chatmon has

that area on lock. We haven’t been

wanting for anything yet thanks to his

diligence. Everyone in headquarters is

pulling their weight and then some, and

work very hard to make sure that

things run smoothly for the Company,

so the other sections can continue to

play their part in the deployment.

Of course none of this is possi-

ble without the patience, love and sup-

port of all our family, friends and loved

ones continuing to “run the ship” in the

rear. This outstanding Company

would not have near the success it has

without your support. We thank you,

and appreciate all you do, and continue

to do everyday in our absence.

I’m so proud of this platoon; we

are well trained for whatever this tour

has to offer. 17 of the best Distribution

Platoon Soldiers were hand selected for

this mission and they are without a

shadow of a doubt, the most skilled and

trusted “War fighters” to take on the

challenge at hand. We as a platoon and

company have many challenges still

ahead, but with solid teamwork and a

strong Family Readiness Group, the Dis-

tribution Platoon will be able to overcome

any obstacle in front of us.

The fuel handlers have a signifi-

cant and integrated role in supporting

security for the base, by refueling U.S.

and coalition aircraft, as well as provid-

ing support during night operations. On

a daily basis our Soldiers are exposed to

an increased volume of military and civil-

ian aircraft, holding a great responsibil-

ity to successfully refuel, and return our

brothers and sisters in arms back to bat-

tle. For the past two months our Soldiers

have transitioned well, by accepting their

roles, and becoming technically proficient

in their duties.

The men have settled quite well,

and have learned to adapt to the rough

terrain and the high demand of aerial

support. We have established a shift

which affords the men an opportunity to

call back home daily. Although the mail

situation can be sporadic at times, the

care packages sent from loved ones back

home have been received with open arms,

and huge smiles. This happens to be our

number one boost to morale, so if possible

I encourage you to continue to send the

love, as the men greatly appreciate the

support.

Your solders continue to better

themselves, here at FOB Warrior. SPC

Rodriguez has attended and has been

recommended for promotion to Ser-

geant. His attendance to the promotion

board was well received and a great rep-

resentation of hard work, commitment

to his unit, and has the potential to be a

remarkable future leader.

Lets not forget SGT South and

SGT Sanchez who are really having a

“BANG OF A TIME”, during this de-

ployment. They start their morning

with a sip of coffee to jump start their

day, after performing the daily radio

check, then walk a mile to the Ammo

Supply Point (ASP). Getting their

mind right and their calculator ready,

they start inventorying hundreds of

various types of ammo. Counting for

hours, and

checking ammo

one by one.

From small

arms ammo to

big booming

ammo, they han-

dle enough fire

power to start a

separate war.

These two fine

NCOs are re-

sponsible for

issuing various

types of ammu-

nition to compa-

nies and making

sure they are

combat ready far

any mission or

emergency that arise. They continue

to drive on everyday and sometimes

late throughout the night. I’m very

proud of this “dynamic duo.”

As always, headquarters per-

sonnel are the masterminds behind

the machine of Eagle Company. Op-

erations are very smooth thanks to

the hard work of the Soldiers in our

section. SSG Wroten and SPC Sailor

have been holding the fort when it

comes to feeding the FOB, ensuring

that the entire battalion gets the fuel

they need to continue operating. SSG

Paul and SGT Garcia also did a great

job of feeding at Muqor by themselves,

quite the feat.

From the moment we put

our feet on the ground here at FOB

Warrior it was simply a matter of

time before change was going to

take place. In the small amount of

time we have been here the soldiers

of the Eagle Company Maintenance

team have changed the landscape of

a disorganized, cluttered, and messy

motor pool.

No matter their MOS, eve-

ryone has been putting 110% into

cleaning, organizing, fixing, creat-

ing, and putting our own touch into

making this an “Eagle Company”

Motor Pool. Soldiers are given tasks

daily and refuse to quit until they’re

complete. They can honestly sit

back and be proud of what they ac-

complished by day’s end.

The Eagle Maintenance

team has expanded to other areas of

missions support. At Eagle Com-

pany HQ , SPC Porter and SPC

Renner are playing a big role and

making a difference with their

knowledge in communications.

They also keep the XO on task and

out of the candy box which is a task

in itself. They are complimented

daily for their contributions.

SPC Despoth, SPC Taylor,

and PFC Smith are keeping every-

one safe with their “Eagle” vision on

Base Defense. They are so good at

what they are doing that they even

intimidate me! I wouldn’t mess

with them!

At the motor pool, the mira-

cle workers CPL Baillargeon, SPC

Roach, SPC Crump, SPC O’Connor,

PFC Parrish, SPC Wadle ensure

that the wheels keep turning for

each and every truck. SPC Wilson

plays a huge role in fixing genera-

tors and several pumps that main-

tain life and operations. Of course,

none of this is possible without their

PLL clerks, SPC Bergman and PFC

Slink who keep the parts coming.

As you can see this is one well

lubricated Eagle Maintenance Team!

Chief and I are very proud of each and

every one of them. To close out, the

team couldn’t do it without the love

and support of our spouses. I would

call our spouse’s the secret ingredient

to our success. The team and I would

like to show our appreciation with a

big “thank you.”

The following soldiers were attached to

Bushmaster Company, 2-22IN in support of their

very difficult mission. These soldiers were sepa-

rated from the rest of the company and lived with B

Co, 2-22IN in less than favorable conditions with

minimal equipment and yet still found a way to go

above and beyond their scopes and duties to cook

and maintain vehicles.

Not only did the mechanics perform at a

high level, with little tools, they fixed equipment

that they have never worked with. Not only did

they fix trucks, but they also fixed shower heaters,

pumps both water and fuel, generators and heaters.

They received accolades daily from the leadership

of Bushmaster Company.

Let’s not forget about the cooks. Only hav-

ing the ability to send 2 cooks to carry out

this mission, these outstanding soldiers

worked day and night to feed the entire

company, and attachments. This included

various “Morale” lifting meals during the

Super Bowl, and 3 hot meals a day! They

worked their tails off and single handedly

kept morale high on Muqor.

Dearest Family Readiness Group,

I’ve never seen a group of soldiers so dedicated to their work. All the days of hard work, the nights they got home

late, the weekends in the field and rotation in the desert of California were not for nothing. Those countless hours of

hard work and training are paying off, as this exceptional team continues to astonish me every single day. I couldn't be

more proud of the team assembled here on FOB Warrior.

I want thank each and every spouse continuing to march on without the assistance of your loved ones. You are

truly strong and committed and I do not envy your task at hand. I can speak for all of us here when I say, none of this is

possible without your love and support. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You provide the motivation our sol-

diers need to continue to do the amazing job they do everyday. YOU are the heartbeat of this Company. Again, thank

you all for all you have done, and continue to do.

Before I close I’d like to make a special announcement regarding a new addition to the Eagle Company Family.

I’m happy to announce that Nichole and I will be having our second child! (Nichole, sorry but I couldn’t resist!)

Respectfully,

CPT Fisher
