Solar System SeriesLearn about the brightest planet in our Solar System, Venus, February 19, 6 - 7 :30 p.m. at the Hickam Library. This is part of a monthly Solar System series presented now through Sept. by James Wallace, NASA Solar System Ambassador.

Pre-School StorytimeStorytime is February 25, 9 - 10 a.m. The theme is “Black History” in celebration of Black History Month in February. Pre-schoolers can enjoy a different theme every other week, sing and do crafts.

Hickam Youth Sports & Fitness Center is having a Youth Membership Night Febru-ary 20 from 7 to 10 p.m. This is your op-portunity to visit the facility, & nd out what programs are offered, and participate in fun activities for youth. Programs include Fit Factor Conditioning, Tumbling, Cheer-leading, Sports and Rhythmic Move-ments. These programs help students develop a positive self-image, increase physical & tness and acquire skills in a fun and safe environment. Membership is for youth ages 5 years and above. Pedal KayaksCheck out the newly arrived pedal kayaks at Hickam Outdoor Recreation. Not only are pedal kayaks easy to use, they are light weight, sturdy and stable. Classes are February 15 and 21 at Hickam Harbor from 10 to 11 a.m. for certifi cation. The class cost is $35. Classes are also available upon request. Once certifi ed, you can rent the single pedal kayaks for $10 and the double pedal kayaks for $15. Be one of the fi rst to try them out.
