SAP ECC is a software system that manages human resources, finance, and sourcing/requisitions processes. The different processes areas are integrated,

meaning that they work together using a central database in real-time, rather than relying on data being periodically passed and forth between different

software systems handling separate functions. ECC can be accessed at: https://newerc.nscorp.com via the Home Tab/ SAP GUI Launch Pad link.

SEARCH HELP

Many of the data fields in SAP display the Search Help button to the right

of the field (you may need to click the field first to display the button).

Clicking Search Help generally results in one of two things:

A box appears where you can type search terms. Clicking the green check

mark returns search results.

A box appears listing the valid values for the field. Click one to highlight it,

then click the green check mark.

You can often use an asterisk * as a “wild card” before and/or after your search

term to include search results that include your search term as a portion of the

result. (smith* would return “smithson”, “smithy”, etc.)

USING TABS

SAP often uses tabs to keep screens organized. You may click a tab

to display the information associated with it.

A field that includes a button

similar to the one shown has a

drop down menu from which

values can be selected.

Ctrl-C - copy what is highlighted

Ctrl-V - paste into selected field

Ctrl-X - cuts selected data and places into clipboard

Ctrl-Y - hold and drag mouse so that text is highlighted

DROP DOWN MENUS

COPY AND PASTE

Click these to select options. For radio

buttons, only one option at a time can be

selected. Multiple check boxes can be

selected at a time.

You generally cannot right click and select

Copy/Paste type options in SAP. Use the following

key combinations instead :

RADIO BUTTONS AND CHECK BOXES
