Where Eagles Learn to Soar!
Edison would like to welcome JaTina Threat as the Edison Elemen-tary School Principal for next school year. She comes to us from the Parma City School District where she has spent the last year as a School Improvement Specialist. She gained a myriad of ad-ministrative experiences in that role including involvement and leadership with curriculum, discipline, testing, professional devel-opment and data. Prior to that, she taught a variety of primary grade levels for the Parma City Schools and Bedford City Schools, while she earned her administrative licensure. Throughout her ex-periences as an educator, Mrs. Threat has consistently demon-strated her natural leadership abilities as well as a strong work ethic. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Science at Capital University, her Master of Arts in Education from Baldwin Wallace University and her administrative licensure from Cleveland State University. Mrs. Threat was one of 62 applicants for the position and one of 20 candidates that were chosen to interview. The in-terview process included multiple rounds of screening and question-ing, involvement and input from a staff committee and the final candidates making a presentation to the committee. She will be visiting the building throughout the spring, and will be at the next Edison PTO Meeting. Welcome to Edison Mrs. Threat!

In an effort to go paperless we want to send the newsletter electronically each week. You have 2 options to do this. Option 1: If you are a parent/guardian you can set up your POWERSCHOOL account for e-mail or even texts! Login to your parent account, go to the icons on the left side of the screen and click on the SCHOOLMESSENGER tab. From there you can set up your account in various ways that suit you! Option 2: Anyone can receive general e-mails from ANY SCHOOL in the district by going to WESCHOOLS.ORG and, using the PARENT TAB, click on ‘E-mail Communciation Setup’. Then you can create an account and set up the e-mails. We hope that these options allow you to stay more informed about the great things happening in the Willoughby-Eastlake School District! #WEMATTER
