EDITION 1 SPRING, 2016 OUTSIDE THE BOX Space became thin with addition of cookies! 1 “That’s the way the cookie crumbles” is often a way to describe a failure or undesired result. In Dircks Logistics’ case, it’s a declaration that our space at our main headquarters became thin (mint). We were down to crumbs in terms of square footage needed to achieve all of the demands of our outstanding customers and clients. So, we’re pleased to announce that we have sweetened our logistics footprint in metro Phoenix. Dircks Logistics is now located in a 170,000 square foot institutional quality distribution center. Speaking of cookies, as you can see from the photo, local Girl Scouts were at it once again in our main warehouse, kicking off another cookie campaign. Here’s what Susan de Qeuljoe, Senior Associate - Marketing and Communications for the Girl Scouts- Arizona Cactus-Pine Council had to say about this year’s efforts: “This year marks the 17th year of the business relationship between Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus-Pine Council and Dircks Moving & Logistics. Dircks Moving is one of two companies in Phoenix involved in the storage and delivery of Girl Scout cookies each year. However, their support for Girl Scouts goes beyond just storage and delivery. For a number of years, just prior to cookie delivery, they have hosted the Girl Scouts and local television and media outlets in their warehouse for our Cookie Kick-Off event. This involves creating a visually appealing space in their busy warehouse, while insuring the safety of the two dozen plus girls and their parents over a four to five hour period. The Cookie Kick-off is always a fun event for our girls. The extra consideration shown by Dircks Moving & Logistics to our Girl Scouts during this event and in the cookie delivery process is greatly appreciated.”

In the past few years, “uber-fication” has reshaped industries across the country, transforming them from paper-and-pencil operations to industries that are dominated by convenience technology and on-demand service delivery. “Uber-fication” first transformed the grocery delivery and home cleaning services industries, and the car service and taxi industries soon followed. Next on deck for 2016? The moving industry.
