  • Copying an existing productYou will see V5R9 enhancements in law importations

    About laws

  • About lawsBesides importing mechanims you can now import lawsWhen copying and pasting a product, you now import the laws with the Import Sub-Mechanisms You can edit it by double-clicking under laws in the specification tree of your new product: the formula editor appears

  • Creating MechanismsYou will see V5R9 enhancements in Mechanism definition

Defining Gear Joints Ratio parameter Defining Rack JointsAbout Cable Joints

  • Defining gear joints ratio parameterIt is now possible to define the ratio parameter by modifying the formula or by using the define button.

Right-click in the ratio field and use the Edit Formula option in the contextual menu a) Modifying the formula (in this case the ratio is a knowledge parameter)b) Using the define buttonOn the gear joint creation dialog box, you can now automatically the ratio parameter, by selecting the different items on the product. You can select the circle or key in the radius value

  • Defining Rack JointsIt is now possible to define a rack ratio in the joint Creation dialog boxThe joint Creation dialog box appears and you can now define a ratio and edit the joint by double clicking on it After you have created a rack joint, you can identify it in the specification treeThe ratio is automatically calculated by clicking on the circle

  • About Cable JointsThe cable joint is created and identified in the specification tree

If you expand the cable joint, you can check the sub joints which are displayedAs a general rule, remember that joints involved in a compound joint can be neither edited nor deleted

  • Simulating and Sequencing MechanismsYou will see V5R9 enhancements in Mechanism analysis

Running SimulationSequencing Mechanisms With LawsAbout Swept volumes

  • Running SimulationIt is now possible to change the range of the Kinematics time parameter directly in the dialog boxEnter a new value ie 20s

  • Sequencing Mechanisms with LawsIt is now possible to simulate a mechanism with laws within a sequence

Thus, you can play the two mechanisms either one after another or simultaneously and benefit from all the other options

  • About Swept volumesWrapping and Simplification options are available within the swept volume dialog box ( available with DMU Optimizer licence only)For more details see Optimizer course

  • Analyzing sensors s DataYou will see V5R9 enhancements in sensors data results

    Creating combined sensors curves

  • Creating combined sensor curvesYou are not limited to the time parameter anymore (y=f(t)) : you can now plot a sensor VS another sensor

In the Graphical Representation Options dialog box you have now a Customized option. Click on Add to display the Curve Creation dialog boxThan select the parameters you need to visualize the curves

  • To Sum UpIn this update course, you have seen V5R9 enhancements for:
