• Localitation of Egypt.

Egypt is in northwest of african continent. It has got coast in

Mediterrane river and the Red sea, Sahara desert is in Egypt and

in Egypt there is Nile river. Nile river is the second longest river in

the world.The capital of Egypt is Cairo.

The weader

• The weather in Egypt is desert and it rains a few. It´s important “Kasmin” sandy in April and May.

THE PLANT• There is vegetation in Delta, Nilo valley and

oasis. There are coconut trees, Karob, tamarisk and acacia.

• There are flowers like loto, rose and jasmine.

• In Egypt is very important the papyrus.

THE ANIMALS• There are

venomous snakes and reptiles. There are foxes, gazelles, hyenas and dog-wolf.

• There are camels and cocrodiles.

MONEY

•They have got the Egyptian pound.

Wealth.• Cotton is the main product

in Egypt.• In livestock industry there

are oxens and donkeys, sheeps, goats and domestic fowl.

• Oilfied and gas are important products too.

• The most important thing in Egypt is tourism because in Egypt there are lots of pyramids.

COMMUNICATION• Egyptair is the national air

line. Cruises sail through Nile river.

• On land: old train, dangerous taxis, bus and underground in Cairo.

HABITANTS

• There are seventy seven millions of people in Egypt. They speak Egyptian dialect.

• The official religion is Islam.• There are two groups:• 1. Middle-upper class.• 2. Working class.

FOOD

• Their tipical meals are: Tabboueh, Kibbeh, pilau, panquequer, Kusari (dough with onion and herbs).

• Their tipical drinks are tea and Turkish coffee.

SPORTS

• The most important sport is football.

Traditions

• Friday day is the egyptian´s festivity. There are some parties during the year and they have got two special dances called “Dance of the nine and the seven veils”.

TRADITIONS

• They have got some charms like Ansata´s cross and the Eye of Horus.

• Their holy animals are dogs, cats, vultures, fenix birds, hippos, fishes, falcons, snakes, crocodiles and cows.

• They represent gods.

Clothes and characteristics.

• Egyptian people wear “chilabas”. Women wear a fullard around their heads.

• Characteristics of Egyptians: they´re tall, and they´ve got dark and brown skin, black and curly hair, and big and black eyes.

Children go to school and they study the Corán book during their holidays.Men work and women stay at home and they take after their children.Egyptians go to the big market Jalilí to buy.

• Tourism creates a lot of jobs and earnings.
