ELECTRICAL COMMISSIONING TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION § Perform repairs, operations and maintenances on various wind turbines; § Evaluate multiple fault; § Follow up and audit maintenance and troubleshooting activities to ensure work performed to satisfaction; § Perform climbs of +280 feet to perform annual or semi-annual maintenances, troubleshoot, and repair failures, which may occur, and collect data; § Conduct electronic troubleshooting using wire and block diagram schematics; § Troubleshoot circuits and operate control systems; § Conduct Lock-out-Tag-out on mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems; § Maintain all computer-generated service records and time sheets; § Write reports. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS § Technical degree in technical discipline from an accredited institution; § Minimum 3 years wind industry experience in an electrical/troubleshooting service industry; § Basic computer skills required; § You MUST possess a valid driver’s license, a passport and be able to travel in the USA; § Basic wind technician certificates (Tower Rescue, CPR, First Aid, AED, OSHA 10, Competent Climber (fall protection), Confined Space, Working at Heights, NFPA 70, LOTO); § Valid GWO certificate is a plus; § Ability to climb towers up to 280'; § Ability to work safely and properly use PPE; § Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50lbs; § Ability to read, comprehend and write in English language.
