F I N A L D E S I G N P R O C E S S

The design task required a new catalogue design for a company of our choice. I was beginning to explore the field of Architecture and Design and came across Electrolight through viewing their works in buildings such as The Melbourne Theatre Company and the Crown Casino complex.

After writing up a design brief for the new client (Electrolight) I aimed to broaden their selling point and create a catalogue for light fittings, as opposed to completed interiors. I was aiming to grow their target audience and enter the business of light fittings and fixtures as well as their existing interior lighting projects to maximise their customer base. In order to do so, a stylish and modern tone needed to be adopted in the design, whilst not steering too far from the existing branding of the company.

The project was completed using Photoshop, as I was not yet familiar with Illustrator and InDesign form the Adobe Creative Suite. Photoshop presented many limitations, however I believe I was still able to creative an elegant and stylish catalogue design without having any prior design knowledge or experience.
