What is Inquiry? What is Inquiry?

• A step beyond the process skills in which content, process, and reasoning are synthesized as a way for students to learn. (National Science Educational Standards).

• An active learning process in which students answer research questions through data analysis.

• Importance of Inquiry

Inquiry incorporates the scientific practices of

hypothesizing, investigating, observing,

explaining and evaluating.
