SharePoint Provisioning – a new approach

ESI provides an end-to-end experience, through which users can provision storage and deploy SharePoint sites

Automate and orchestrate multiple tasks in to a wizard


SharePoint Provisioning with ESI

1. Using ESI GUI, SharePoint admin requests a SharePoint web app with a user capacity of 200GB.

2. Using best practices, ESI SharePoint Adapter provisions storage on VNX using VNX Adapter ( or on VMAX).

3. Storage will be unmasked to Windows Server( or Hyper-V Server) and will be prepared for use by Windows Adapter (partition, create file system, format, drive letter etc.)

4. SharePoint Adapter creates a SQL Server Content Database on the newly provisioned storage along with the requested web application.
