What’s the importance of having the core values?

What are the core values? Well in our leadership book volume one, it says that the core values are, “the four basic qualities CAP expects all members to display at all times: Integrity First, Volunteer Service, Excellence in all we do, and Respect.” The importance of these values, are to perfect how we act and how we look in public and in private. Without the core values CAP and the regular life of a cadet would be terribly different.

Why is Responsibility Important?

One of the most important traits a leader can possess is

responsibility. You all have control over some part of your

life, and taking responsibility to ensure it is done correctly is

important in order to keep everything running smoothly. It is

even more important as a leader when you have larger

missions and when failure is not an option. Accepting

responsibility for whatever missions you are given, and also

owning up to mistakes, is all part of becoming a better

leader. To quote “Accept responsibility for your life. Know

that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one

else” – Les Brown

In-flight Cadets get the chance to fly in Civil Air Patrol aircraft.

Tip #3: Stay Motivated

Motivation is one of the key elements to the

success of this year’s encampment.

Motivation comes complete with a good

attitude and a positive state of mind. Being

motivated all the time helps you and your

flight out. By being motivated, others will

also become motivated, and your flight may

win the daily Warrior Flight Award.

Motivation ensures the staff that you are

enjoying yourself, which is our number one

priority.
