PLEASE PRAY THIS WEEK for the CRITCHLEY DONNAN HODGES and JOHNSTON families. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Families can continue to pack their shoe boxes in readiness for the final deadline day of Tues 25 Oc-tober. Families may like to also contribute to the cost of delivering the boxes to their destination overseas, which has been set by Operation Christmas Child at $9 per box. All donations will be much appreciat-ed. ICE CREAM STALLS Our ice cream stalls are back on Friday lunchtimes this term! Ice creams will cost $1, $2 and $3 and all funds raised will support the delivery of our Samari-tans Purse Christmas boxes to children overseas. CASTLEMAINE AGRICULTURAL SHOW This is a great opportunity for students up to the age of 16, and all adults, to enjoy the fun of enter-ing their art, craft, photography, horticulture and cooking in a local competition. This year the Show will be held on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October at the Camp Reserve in Castlemaine. For details of entries please see Mrs Chapman. Could all students who have art or craft that they wish to enter in the Castlemaine Show please bring it to school by Monday October 17th. The session is confirmed to commence at 1.30pm for all students for the full afternoon, using dynamic PowerPoint illustrations. The talk title will be Noah's Ark—Deluge of Evidence. Parents and family members are welcome to come along to the session too. Rod will also set up a re-source display for the session.

Michael is the Principal and Pastor where 64 stu-dents attend. He spoke on James 1:19 about the need to be quick to listen carefully, but to be slow to talk and slow to get angry, for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God. Students from Olivet met Pastor Mani in Fiji when we attended the South Pacific Student Convention held in Fiji in December 2012. T20 TOURNAMENT Students in Years 3—4 will be attending the MILO T20 Blast School Cup Cricket Carnival for District Primary Schools at Wesley Hill next Tuesday (18 Oct). We will be leaving school at 9am and travel-ling by school bus. We will be returning to school at approx. 2.30pm. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and take snacks, lunch and drinks for the day. We are looking forward to the day out at the cricket! PETER AND THE WOLF

On Wednesday the Prep to Year 4’s travelled to The Ulumbarra Theatre, in Bendigo, to experience the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s presenta-tion of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.

It was a fantastic performance and everyone loved the narration, which was an integral part of the performance. Some student comments included, “Loud”, “Bit sad for the duck”, “Exciting”, “Weird in parts”, “Quick”, “Funny”, “Lovely”, “Happy” and “Awesome”.
