Grundfos brands (Peerless/PACO) were founded in the irrigation business A Grundfos pump is available for virtually 100% of all applications Strategic locations in agriculture hubs to better serve ‘quick response’ needs

A newly formed team in 2010 dedicated to the agriculture market

GRUNDFOS BIOBOOSTER

Cleaner water – Greener environment

Page 20: Engineering presentation - Grundfos 2011

Once upon a time..

The BioBooster project has been 10 years in the making..

Based on Biofilm theory a very efficient biological wastewater treatment was invented and constructed in reactors

Named PBR (Pressurised Biofilm Reactor) the technology is capable of reducing the biological load in process wastewater

Page 21: Engineering presentation - Grundfos 2011

Towards a containerised solution

Page 22: Engineering presentation - Grundfos 2011

PBR reference plants

Page 23: Engineering presentation - Grundfos 2011

Cleaner water - greener environment - require MBR-• The Grundfos BioBooster PBR - biological pre-

treatment with a removal rate of 80% was not enough

• The Grundfos BioBooster MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) allows for full treatment resulting in supreme water quality:

– allowing for direct discharge to receiving waters

– water reuse, in those areas where lack of water is a concern.

• The reactor, similarly to its predecessor PBR, is also placed in containers to ensure easy scalability.

Page 24: Engineering presentation - Grundfos 2011

Visionary leadership sets new targets
