Principal’s Message
KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION
Over the last two Mondays we had 100 new faces appear at
our school. It was great to welcome the new kinder students
and their parents to Beresford Road. Our students for next
year settled very well and enjoyed getting to know their new
school. Parents were provided with a great presentation,
including a wonderful movie on what to expect at school. I
would like to thank the P&C who provided a beautiful
morning tea, Miss Eleyasian for creating the movie and Mrs
Cause for pulling the day together.
BIG DAY IN
We participated along with twenty other schools in this
fantastic program that ran at Hilltop Public School last WEEK.
5/6S students were treated to an amazing array of learning
opportunities. These included F1 cars, animation/ minecraft,
technology 1, Google, Wise Tech Global, Adobe, Microsoft,
Solar buddy, Animal logic Robocup Jnr and Codecamp.
Special thanks must go to Doreen Cavallo, the Deputy
Principal of Hilltop Public School for organising this event. I
would also like to thank Mrs Natalie See, the Principal and
the students from Greystanes High who assisted on the day.
NO HAT, PLAY IN THE SHADE
As the weather begins to warm up, please ensure your child
has their school hat and discuss with them the importance of
wearing it. Please have them put on some sun screen and
encourage them to reapply this during the day. A small tube
in their bag is all they need. If your child does not have their
hat at recess or lunch, they may be asked to move to a
shaded area.

Toys N Tucker
Sharing with people in need
It is that time of year again when we are asking
for donations for our annual ‘Toys n Tucker’
drive. The donations that we receive from this will
be given to Anglicare who distribute it to families
in need this Christmas. This year we have been
asked to collect more non-perishable foods than
toys.
Some examples of non-perishable foods are
canned foods, pasta, rice, Christmas cake,
Christmas pudding, long life custard, lollies.
If you are able to help please bring items in and
place under our tree in the office.
