THE WILDLIFEPearl Island is a year-round home for several unique species. Get to know our curly-tailed lizards, hermit crabs, Antellian Nighthawks, and fascinating marine life during your stay.

We went here on an excursion with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. The island is so beautiful, quiet, and a slice of paradise. All staff on the island are friendly and happy to help. Lunch on the island was exceptional and delicious.

We had a wonderful time on Pearl Island — the staff was wonderful, the boat was comfortable and quick and the snorkeling was amazing!

Pearl Island was the best part of our 4 day cruise! We loved every minute of this excursion!

After a complete renovation Pearl Island Bahamas reopened its doors to guests in June 2016.Originally developed by local Bahamians in 1993, Spruce Cay, as it was known, sat idle for 10 yearsbefore its massive transformation.

The vision for Pearl Island Bahamas was to create a unique Caribbean getaway—a dream island filledwith tropical flair, art, culture, and music for locals and visitors alike. And to ensure a truly authenticexperience we work in close collaboration with local companies.

Our goal was to create an unrelenting commitment to quality, service, and hospitality by going aboveand beyond the needs and wants of our guests. We also strive to maintain a friendly and creativework environment, which respects diversity, new ideas, and hard work. The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) criteria were created to provide a common understanding throughout the world of “sustaina-ble tourism”, and are the minimum standards that any tourism business should aspire to reach. They are organized around four main themes: effective sustainability planning, ma-ximizing social and economic benefits for the local community, enhancingcultural heritage, and reducing negative impacts on the environment. They have applicability to theentire tourism industry.
