HOW TO REACH

Travelling by plane

From the Viennese airport (Schwechat) to the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna it takes approximately 35 minutes by taxi or car.

Every hour an Airport bus leaves from the Viennese airport (Schwechat) to the

station “Wien Donauzentrum”. There are a few buses to different places, please only use the bus “Wien Donauzentrum” (opposite underground station "Kagran"). Change into bus line 27A and get off at „Veterinärplatz/Veterinärmedizinische

Universitat” right opposite the University's main gate.

Travelling by public transport within Vienna

• Underground line U1 (direction Leopoldau) and get off at station „Kagran”.

Change at „Kagran” into bus line 27A and get off at „Veterinärplatz/Veterinärmedizinische Universitat” right opposite the

University's main gate. • Underground line U1 (direction Leopoldau) and get off at station „Kagraner Platz”.

At „Kagraner Platz” hop on tramway line 26 (direction Stammersdorf/Edmund-Havranek-Platz), get off at "Josef-Baumann-

Gasse/Veterinärmedizinische Universitat” and walk to the University's main gate (about 5 min).

• Underground line U6 (final station Floridsdorf) or City Train S1, S2, S3,

S15 and get off at station "Floridsdorf" Change into tramway line 26 (direction Aspern/Oberdorfstraße), get off at

"Josef-Baumann-Gasse/Veterinärmedizinische Universitat” and walk to the University's main gate (about 5 min).

By public transport

From Westbahnhof train station:

Take the underground U6 to the terminus Floridsdorf, and then take tram 26, direction Oberdorfstraße, till Josef Baumanngasse / University of Veterinary

Medicine (Veterinärmedizinische Universität)

From Südbahnhof train station: Take the underground U1, direction Leopoldau as far as Kagraner Platz. Then

take tram line 26, direction Strebersdorf to Josef Baumanngasse / University of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinärmedizinische Universität) or the U1, direction

Leopoldau to Kagran, Bus no. 27A to University of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinärmedizinische Universität).

By rapid transit system:

Take the S1 (Gänserndorf), S2 (Mistelbach), S3 (direction Hollabrunn), or S15 (direction Floridsdorf) to Floridsdorf, then tram line 26 direction Oberdorfstraße

till Josef Baumanngasse/University of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinärmedizinische Universität).

From Vienna International Airport (Schwechat)

A bus runs from the airport directly to the U1 underground station in Vienna International Centre / UNO City (approx. 20 minutes). Then take the U1 direction Leopoldau to Kagraner Platz, tram line 26 direction Edmund Hawranek Platz to

Josef Baumanngasse / University of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinärmedizinische Universität).

By Car

Coming from the west – Salzburg, Linz, St. Pölten:

Take the A1 exit at 'Knoten Steinhäusl'; take the A21 in the direction of 'Wien Süd'/Graz exit at 'Knoten Vösendorf'; take the A2 and A23 in the direction of 'Gänserndorf' exit at 'Hirschstetten'; drive in the direction of 'Kagran', turn left

onto 'Hirschstettener Straße' and drive to 'Kagraner Platz' ('Zillgasse'); turn left and drive along 'Kagraner Platz' stay straight and cross 'Wagramerstraße' take

'Donaufelderstraße' to 'Josef Baumanngasse'. The entrance to the 'Veterinärmedizinische Universität Wien' is after 300m on your left ('Veterinärplatz 1').

From the south – Villach, Klagenfurt, Graz:

Take the A2 and A23 in the direction of 'Gänserndorf' exit at 'Hirschstetten'; drive in the direction of 'Kagran', turn left onto 'Hirschstettener Straße' and drive

to 'Kagraner Platz' ('Zillgasse'); turn left and drive along 'Kagraner Platz' stay straight and cross 'Wagramerstraße' take 'Donaufelderstraße' to 'Josef

Baumanngasse'. The entrance to the 'Veterinärmedizinische Universität Wien' is after 300m on your left ('Veterinärplatz 1')

From the north/northwest – Tulln, Stockerau:

Take the A22 ('Donauuferautobahn'), exit at 'Floridsdorfer Brücke', choose the left lane and take the A22 in the opposite direction (away from the city) take the next exit and drive in the direction of 'Brünner Straße', cross over 'Brünner

Straße' and stay straight to B3 – 'Angyaföld-Straße', turn left onto 'Donaufelderstraße', after 100m left again onto 'Josef Baumanngasse'. The

entrance to the 'Veterinärmedizinische Universität Wien' is after 300m on your left ('Veterinärplatz 1'). Or take 'Brünner Straße', turn left on B3 – Angyaföld-Straße, turn left onto 'Donaufelderstraße', after 100m left again onto 'Josef

Baumanngasse'. The entrance to the 'Veterinärmedizinische Universität Wien' is after 300m on your left ('Veterinärplatz 1').

From the east – Schwechat, Hainburg:

Take the A4 Ostautobahn, then take the A23 in the direction of 'Gänserndorf' exit at 'Hirschstetten'; drive in the direction of 'Kagran', turn left onto 'Hirschstettener
