Even though McDonalds contribute very much for the welfare of their customers, but still thediet offered by them contributes to various problems like obesity, heart disease, asthma etc. Moreover McDonalds practices are also questionable in terms of environment.Unlike a fresh ground beef patty at a local butcher shop, a distinctive fast-food hamburger pattycontains meat from more than one thousand different cattle, raised in as many as five countries. As a result there are very high chances of containing contaminants in a particular hamburgerpatty which is from unknown origin. Moreover, McDonalds uses their own genetically modified potatoes instead of locally grown

potatoes. The practices of with food from excessive distances, is demanding environmentally. From the public health viewpoint, the apply of beef from various sources makes unhygienicsources far and ultimately it becomes more difficult to trace.

    Impact on Foreign Culture

Itsnot only the Macdonalds products cause harm individual and environmental happiness. They are not having an control on some East Asian cultures with the Not only do McDonaldsproducts harm individual and environmental well-being, they are also having an influence on

some ofEast Asian cultures with the corporations entrance into those countries. Critics claimthat the fast spread of McDonalds and its fast-food rivals undermines original cuisines and helpscreate a homogenous, global culture (Watson, 2006)The Chinese parent wants to make theirchildren connected to whole world so, basically they sent their children to the Macdonalds tripbut its taking away from their particular culture. Young people in Beijing predicts that theypeople dont bother about the ordinary food is serving to them but the quick meal servicebecause its in their culture. Another change occurs in to the East with the entry of Macdonalds

and American corporations into Asian countries is the new passion with their cultureAmerican corporations into Asian countries, is the new obsession with American

culture.Precceding to the arrival of Macdonalds occasions are marking by the youngsters and

the specific birth rates is unfamiliar in East Asia. In Addition in Chinas culture Macdonalds

insulted other culture by some of their events. The chain has moved up with the controversy withthe United States, Hindus and with the Japanese people as they were involved in Beef burger as

in Hindu culture Cow is sacred and it was really a big offense by the Macdonalds. They paid 10

million dollar as to settle the dispute. In additional in 2006 Macdonalds is facing one criticism

in Japan as their one product apple pies it contains some illegal coloring agent it was banned by

the food coloring as it is harmful. But Macdonalds claimed that its not harmful as the European

and the Australian people are consuming the same applepies. As then MacDonalds recalled

apple pies and they have ensured that now they no more purchasing pies from China factory

    which is using azorubin.

    Controversy in United States

One more controversy arose in the South lake Macdonalds because ofbacon ranch salad and

Chrissy Haley, she is the wife of an assistant coach of the Dallas Cowboys she had found rat

in her salad. She ordered one happy meal for her child and one salad. As in newspaper reports,

Haley and her nanny went to MacDonalds had ordered their food and she found the dead rat in

her salad. Macdonaldsdidnt respond to this and dont even ask her if she is ok ornot. Both the

ladies have had their stool samples tested and their treatment is going under Dr. Rycke

Marshall .Macdonalds paid less attention to this case and the lady sued to MacDonalds for1.7

    million$(September, 2007)

    Labor Relations

Moreover with some health issues, the firm also has certain issues with their workers regardingwages. The workers who essentially do assembly line and the factory type work paid fewerwages to them. It is assumed that If the work done by cashiers and the burger manufacture werere-classified as factory work and it would add about 3.5 million manufacturing jobs to the U.S.economy when these jobs would be there then and with a statistical point of view, U.S. appear

similar to an manufacturing powerhouse once more, in its place of an mature superpower indanger by economical competitors. In the 31,000 McDonalds worldwide, workers are gettingminimum wages aWorkers get paid minimum wage rather of the fact that company is now of the fact that thecompany is now is of more value i.e. .billion dollars.

    Conclusion-

Ethics are vital as they plays an integral role in every MNCs.Its required to follow this for thedevelopment of the corporation. It sets the tone of the failure and the success of business. Andwhenever any dilemma occurs it creates so many confusion in the mind of employees and eventhe customers. As in the case Macdonaldsis very good and a Global brand in todays world and attain a verygood name in the market but it also faced some of problems in each and every country. As theyhave introduced a new chain into the market for their customers as it was for their benefit but ithas faced so many adverse effect also.

They should do the test marketing within the employees or the group of people for any productthey are introducing So, that consequences can be seen and the corrective action can be takenthere only.Secondly, the example of beef burger they must have followed the culture of Indiabefore introducing because ultimately it will affect the company as if one customer has facedproblem then he will tell to so many people and it will reduce the customers of that particularcompany. So,before introducing they must have the knowledge about the culture and ethics ofthat particular place. Third when the lady had found a dead rat in her salad it was unethical forthe Macdonalds as they should have check the food before its delivery as its the matter of

quality and after that they dont even felt sorry for their mistake and dont even ask about that

ladys health. This unethical behavior can harm the company. They must check the food before

they deliver so that their quality standard can be maintained. Fourth, some people fell sick after

eating food so, for that the food quality should be up to the mark so, that customers can beretained for long time. One of the incident happened in China regarding apple pie as peoplefaced a lot of problems after eating it then after an research they have found that the colors whichthey are using is harmful for the health of people So, that apple pie has been banned but the sameproduct was famous in other two countries. So, they found the problem in color as it containsazorubin. So,they have taken the corrective measures here only as they have changed their factoryto whom they were taking that color for apple pie.
