    Eucalyptus Radiata is primarily an essential oil for the respiratory system, it has good anti-catarrhal properties. It is a powerful

    expectorant and mucolytic with good ability for fluidification. It is a gentle yet effective essential oil for respiratory problems and is more

    easily tolerated by children than Eucalyptus globulus.

    Has been shown to be effective for treating sinus conditions as it can be inhaled most deeply without triggering the cough reflex. It is the

    essential oil of choice when dealing with infections high in the chest. It is a good immunostimulant, great for use by individuals who arerun down, and prone to colds, etc.

    Historically has been shown to be useful for elimination of viruses and to support the entire respiratory system. Its high content of 1,8

    cineole makes it a good choice for diffusion into a room when someone has a respiratory infection. Eucalyptus Radiata is a strong

    antiseptic, yet it is non-toxic. A good anti-viral and an energizer to the body, it can be very effective in cases of chronic fatigue and immune

    deficiency. It has good infection-fighting properties for both acute and chronic respiratory infections, and is effective for the flu.

    BATH:

    Mix 10 to 12 drops for soothing, cooling bath to relieve aching muscles or to reduce fever. To reduce fever, add 3 to 5 drops to pint of water. Soak wash cloth in the water. Gently give child sponge bath with the

    Eucalyptus water. Very cooling, make sure child does not become chilled.

    Apply to the feet after showering.DIFFUSION:

    Diffuse 10 to 20 drops in nebulizing diffuser for up to 10 minutes per hour. May aid with congestion. Combine with Tea Tree to provide additional for added benefit.

    INHALATION:Inhale by adding 2 drops to hands, rub, and inhale deeply.

    MASSAGE:Effective chest rub when 5 drops each of Eucalyptus Radiata, Tea Tree and Lavender are added to 1 oz. massage oil.

    MISTING SPRAY:Mix 15 drops into 4oz pure water in a cobalt blue bottle. Shake well for a cooling spray.

    TOPICAL:

    During a cold or flu, can use neat on the tips of the toes (sinus reflex points) and on the pad of the foot (lung reflex points).

    Use 1 drop on each foot for small children age 1 to 6. Use 2 drops for older children and 3 to 4 drops for adults. You can make a chest rub with Eucalyptus radiata, Tea Tree and Lavender. Put 5 drops of each into 1 ounce of carrier oil and

    massage over the lung area.

    If there is also ear congestion you can massage a small amount around the ear. (Caution: NEVER put oil directly into the ear.) Apply to the mastoid bone and along the neck for decongesting ears and sinuses.
