Evaluation of Glenn Dale Tuberculosis Hospital and Sanatorium (Historic Resource 70-050) 5201 Glenn Dale Road, Glenn Dale, Maryland The Glenn Dale Tuberculosis Hospital and Sanatorium (hereinafter Glenn Dale Hospital) was designated as a Historic Resource pursuant to the adoption of the 1992 Approved Historic Sites and Districts Plan. The property was acquired by M-NCPPC from the District of Columbia in 1995. The 2010 Glenn Dale-Seabrook-Lanham and Vicinity Approved Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment includes the strategies "Support historic designation of properties within the sector plan area that may qualify as local Historic Sites" and "Prepare a National Register nomination for the former Glenn Dale Hospital." At the request of the Glenn Dale Citizens Association (GDCA) the property was nominated to and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.TRANSCRIPT
