Schemes use mini- buses, MPVs and cars driven by volunteers and there will be one covering your area: Evesham Volunteer Centre operates a community car scheme with volunteers driving their own cars. They can provide trips to medical appointments, hospital visiting and also leisure and shopping journeys. It covers the following area:- Abbots Morton, Aldington, Ashton under Hill, Aston Somerville, Badsey, Beckford, Bickmarsh, Bretforton, Broadway, Childswickham, Church Lench, Cleeve Prior, Conderton, Cookhill, Evesham, Harvington, Hinton on the Green, Honeybourne, Inkberrow, Kemerton, Lenchwick Norton, North and Middle Littleton, Offenham, Overbury, Pebworth, Rous Lench, Sedgeberrow, South Littleton and Wickhamford. Off peak hours are between 9.30am until 11.00pm Monday to Friday and all day weekends and bank holidays. Concessionary Fares Changes For people with concessionary passes: You will be able to use your bus pass for free travel on local bus services anywhere in England between 9.30am and 11.00pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and Bank Holidays You will not be able to use your bus pass for free travel on most bus services before 9.30am on weekdays. However, you will be able to use your pass on some infrequent bus services before 9.30am. Eligible services are indicated on bus timetables . Alternatively, a full list can be provided by the Worcestershire Hub by calling 01905 765765 You will be able to use your bus pass on Community Transport supplied by Evesham Volunteer Centre and receive a discount of £1.00 per journey on your fare. Annual, Termly and Half-Termly Passes Some students may receive a FREE Severn Card if they are entitled to subsidised travel assistance under the County Council’s Home-to- School Transport Policy, and they need to travel by bus to their school / college. Other students will need to pay the appropriate Annual, Termly or Half-Termly rate (see reverse) for the Zone in which they wish to travel to receive their Severn Card. Once you have an Annual, Termly or Half-Termly pass, simply add your photo, seal the pass, then show it to the bus driver each time you travel. There will be nothing to pay on the bus. Annual Discount Card Some students, particularly those on a part-time programme or those only travelling one-way, will prefer to pay each time they travel rather than paying a larger amount upfront. CARD STUDENT BUS PASS Worcestershire County Council has worked with bus operators in the Evesham area to create a special HALF PRICE bus fare scheme for the duration of the closure of the Abbey Bridge and until 31st December 2013 This means that passengers whose origin or destination is anywhere within Evesham town can travel for HALF PRICE and take the stress out of travelling to/from the town during the bridge closure. The 50% discount will apply to all Single journey, Return, Day and Weekly tickets across all operators, except for Castleways who will offer the 50% discount on Child and Adult Single fares only. This means that Adult can travel from just 75p for a single journey, and children for just 50p!
