Is Stephen Ministry your ministry? Are you the one friends call on When trouble comes their way? Are you the one who holds their hands During a hospital stay?

Are you the one who gives support To those who are feeling blue? Accept that this is your spiritual gift And Stephen Ministry is for you.

By way of Christian caring You can administer God’s grace and love. Submit unto your calling And receive blessings from above. Karen Bell Director of Stephen Ministry and Congregational Care First United Methodist Church Woodward, Oklahoma 580-256-5515 [email protected]

Church Raising Funds For Additional Parking Lot

Can you guess how many parking spaces the church currently has? The answer is 155. We have many occasions where we run out of spaces – well -attended funerals and big worship ser-vices at times like Easter and Christmas Eve, along with special district events and fundraisers like the UMW Spaghetti Dinner. Additionally, we will lose another nine spaces in order to pro-vide space for a driveway back to the Circle of Care homes. With this in mind, the Trustees, in conjunction with the Finance Committee and Administrative Council, have affirmed a plan to build 32 additional parking places to the West of the current building. The cost to build this lot will be between $25,000-$30,000. We will not build until we have raised the necessary funds. To date we have raised $7,100.00. To contribute, make out your check to the church and write “parking project” on the subject line.

Tuesday , November 13 11:30am-5:30pm

Our church is hosting this blood drive, which is open to the community. We could use a couple of people to work in the canteen, to help with registration, and escort donors to walk people from the donation beds to the canteen. Let Shannon or Lora know if you would be able to help by calling the church office at 256-5515.

Sunday, December 9 8:30am & 10:50 am

Through a blend of carols and original songs, the Choir on Fire will help us all experience the beauty of the incarnation story as if we’re experiencing it for the first time. The choir will be accompanied by a mini-orchestra. Be sure to come and bring lots of friends!

Sunday, November 18, 6:30 p.m. Hosted by First Church of the Nazarene

(400 Downs Avenue)

The Woodward Ministerial Alliance would like to invite you to a gathering of Christians across Woodward to join together for a time of worship and thanksgiving to God. There will be music, prayer, an offering to support the Alliance’s aid to local persons in need, and an inspirational sermon. This year, we are honoring the Woodward Fire Department as well. We’ll also enjoy desserts together afterward. What a great way to kick off Thanksgiving Week!
