The story of Medela began in 1975. when the smell of strudels was felt for the �rst time in the town of Vrbas.

The factory was opened under the name "Vitalkeks" and its basic mission was to produce a sweet that would sweeten homes throughout Serbia. Soon after its opening, the factory changed its name and Medela was o�cially born.

Nowadays Medela is part of INVEJ Holding.

Since our foundation we have worked on the modernization of our production facilities. From new additions to our assortment up to the acquisition of modern machines for chocolate covering and, later on, for automatic packaging, we have undertaken all the neces-sary steps to keep quality at the high level. In order to ensure the highest quality of our products, in 2016. we started the production of fresh fruit marmalade in our own plant. We �ll our strudels with this fruit marmalade, guaranteeing the quality, rounding up the production process and following the tradition of “granny’s recipe” which makes our strudels so remarkable.

Medela brand has been presented on the serbian and regional markets for more than 40 years. Medela Strudel is the leading brand in strudel category in serbian market and markets of the former Yugoslavia.Our sweets are also enjoyed nowadays by people from all the countries of the Western Europe and they have arrived even to America and East Africa.

Medela has been operating in accordance with internationally recognized standards of quality and safety (ISO 9001:2008 ; HACCP; FSSC 22000).

According to selection of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the rating agency Coface, our company is among a group of success-ful and reliable companies.

Medela strudels were certi�ed according to sharia halal regulations in May 2017.

Industrial production of edible oil in the Balkans recorded its beginnings in the town of Vrbas in Vojvodina. In 1855, the entrepreneurial merchant Jakob Lenji built the first oil processing workshop in this town, on the banks of the Old Channel. Nobody could imagine that the commissioning of this small plant would, in fact, lay the foundation of a future mighty industrial giant - VITAL factory.

Lenji’s factory began its production with the use of a manual and animal-driven unrefined oil strainer. Prevailing raw materials included hemp, pumpkin seed and oilseed rape. All until 1929 crude vegetable oil was not processed in Vrbas, but in Budapest, where the Lenji family owned a refinery. The third and the fourth decade of the 20th century, when the founder’s grandson, Joseph Lenji, was the head of the factory, were very significant for the development of the first oil factory in the Balkans. During this period, the production was substantially modernized, new equipment and refinery were purchased, so the whole process of production of edible oil was completely established in this factory in Vrbas. The first sunflower oil was made in this oil factory in the thirties of the last century. Since then, sunflower has been the basic raw material in its production and today it represents a kind of a factory emblem.

Today, Vital is one of the largest food manufacturers in the country. This is the factory whose production of oil, margarine, vegetable fat, vegetable ghee, mayonnaise and ketchup is based on the latest technology. Through the application of a strict quality control system for all products with the introduction of ISO 9001 quality system, HALAL and HACCP system, the use of its own laboratory and the use of modern methods in application of the latest technological advances in product development, Vital today achieves its objective by strengthening the existing and developing the new market position.

VITAL

Vegetable gheeVegetable ghee is a product obtained by a special process of crystallization from the top quality vegetable oils and vegetable fats. It has markedly yellow colour, homogenous structure and buttery flavour. High nutritional value, rich content of biologically important unsaturated fatty acids, easy digestibility, excellent flavour and smell make it a grocery favourable to human health. It is particularly important as a source of vitamin E, which the body cannot produce, so it needs to be taken by food.Since the Vegetable ghee is made exclusively of vegetable fat, it does not affect the creation of cholesterol. It is recommended in preparing of all kinds of dishes and cakes, as well as in the nutrition of people who only eat food of plant origin. With its specific look, taste, smell and colour, this product is intended for special purpose, as a substitute for cow milk butter.

MargarinesTABLE margarine is made of high-quality vegetable oils and fats with adequate additives. We recommend it for cooking, baking and frying of various dishes. It gives a pleasant aroma and special flavour to fried fish and meat. TABLE Margarine is also used for various types of cakes and it is easily mixed into dough, giving it a fine structure. It is excellent for the preparation of salty spreads, alone or in combination with meat, cheese, vegetables, and spices.Whipped cream-flavoured TABLE margarine is enriched with vitamins A and D. It is particularly recommended for making cake creams and in preparation of pastry. With the use of our margarine every cake you make will have a delicious, full-bodied flavour of whipped cream.VITALFIT is made of high quality sunflower oil and vegetable fat with adequate additives. It is ideal for preparation of doughs and creams. It has a reduced fat content (70%).

Sunflower oil is obtained by processing of sunflower seeds using the procedures of pressing and extraction by solvents, and subsequent refining. The final product is refined table sunflower oil which, by all standards, represents one of the highest quality oils in nutritional sense. First of all, it satisfies the energy needs of an organism. Besides, it is rich in natural antioxidant, alpha-tocopherol (vitamin Е) which affects oxidant stability and extension of shelf life. Within the body, it acts protectively, through elimination of harmful metabolic products, so-called free radicals. It also contains natural colour, beta carotene, which the body turns into vitamin A. Sunflower oil contains a very important, essential fatty acid – linoleic acid, also known as Omega-6 acid. A special characteristic of sunflower oil is the most favourable ratio of tocopherol and this fatty acid, which provides maximum effects.

MayonnaiseMayovita Delicatesse mayonnaise is a product of very high nutritional value. It is made of high-quality sunflower oil, egg yolks, sugar, salt, mustard and flavours. All the ingredients included in the composition of the product are of a guaranteed high quality. Mayonnaise Delicatesse has an extraordinary flavour, it is easy to digest, and, due to these characteristics, it is used as food, and as addition to all kinds of meat and vegetable salads. All kinds of mayonnaise are thermostable.

Mayovita light lenten mayonnaise is the product suitable for a low calorie diet as it does not contain cholesterol.It is made of a reduced quantity of high-quality sunflower oil and without egg yolks. In addition to oil, the product contains pure natural starch, salt, sugar, mustard, vinegar and other spices. While selecting the raw materials that constitute the product, the quality of raw materials and the process of their obtaining has the extreme importance. Due to its properties, Light Mayonnaise can be used for food and as an addition to salads. Since it contains the raw materials of plant origin only, it is recommended for nutrition of vegetarians and at the time of fasting.

Ketchup (mild, hot, pizza)Vital tomato ketchup is partially concentrated tomato juice with addition of vinegar, sugar, salt and various spices. It participates in enrich-ing daily nutrition of children and adults. Ketchup is, in fact, one of the foodstuffs which are most frequently present in the refrigerators all over the world, and it represents a healthy food product thanks to a large quantity of lycopene contained in it.Lycopene is a plant pigment that gives vegetables red color, it belongs to the group of carotenoids, antioxidants family and its antioxidant power is much higher in comparison to the other carotenoids. The most important source of lycopene is tomato, but even it is present in ketchup and in tomato sauces in even higher concentrations.

For HoReCa channel, Vital offers Mayonnaise delicatessen and light in 2.7kg and 5kg packaging as well as Tomato ketchup mild in 5kg packaging. Both products have appropriate thermostability which means that it can be stored at room temperature.

Vegetable fats and industrial margarines can be neutral, soybean. Can be used in various food industries and cosmetics. By type of production it can be used in many industries. For confectionery industry (salty, sweet and neutral program), in bakeries, butcher shops, diary industry, for fast food and cosmetics. Vegetable fats are used as ingridient for biscuits, fillings, creams, toppings and other (for soups, ice cream, "secondary", universal use...).Industrial margarines can be neutral and soybean. They are recognizable by a high level of quality, excellent consistency, and widely used - industrial production and small-series production (hand made).

About usRUBIN AD was founded in 1955, as a company for production and trade with grapes, wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The main goal was to develop wine growing and production of wine and alcoholic drinks based on Serbian grape and wines. Since its foundation in 1955, Rubin became a producer in Serbia, famous for its top quality products, most of which became the best-selling product in its category or product group. Rubin Vinjak was founded in 1957. Already in 1961, he won the first prize, the Grand Prix in Ljubljana, and from that time until now, several hundred gold medals and champion cups at foreign and domestic competitions. Gold medals: RIM FAO, JALTA, BURGAS (3), MADRID (2), BORDO, SOFIA, LJUBLJANA - GRAND PRIX (9).Today, company is working on the popularization and promotion of Rubin VSOP and Rubin XO, which according to foreign experts are the top quality products of the world class. RUBIN

Brandy Vinjak v.s.The production of Vinjaka VS is based on past experience and standards applicable to high quality types of cognac. It represents the result of dedicated work and desire invested by our experts in creating a brandy of a unique aroma and recognizable flavour out of high quality wine distillates. The minimum ageing period in oak barrels is two years to create a typical bouquet and specific brandy character.

Brandy Vinjak 5 V.S.O.P.Vinjak 5 VSOP was the obtained by careful selection of high quality wine distillates of specific aroma complex and many years of ageing in oak barrels made in a special manufac-turing process. It is made of wine distillates of young wines with yeast present, too. Distillates intended for production of Vinjak 5 VSOP must age at least five years in oak barrels. It should be consumed at room temperature as an aperitif by adding roasted beans of coffee, almond, peanut and Indian nut or after a meal, with a good cigar and high quality black chocolate.

Brandy Vinjak XOThis is an exclusive variety from the brandy family whose creation involved many genera-tions when taking into account the time required for this product to age in oak barrels produced in a special manufacturing process. The peculiarity of this product includes finely harmonised, choice wine distillates and brandies which ripened for a long series of years and which are 10 to 25 years old.This brandy is consumed only as a digestive at room temperature and by adding roasted beans of coffee, almond or Indian nut. It goes well with strong rich coffee.

Rakia LozaLoza is made by distillation of overheated crushed grapes of carefully selected grape varieties. It as recommended to be served as an apperitif with salty roasted almonds and peanuts, salty cheeses and picante vegetable salads and as a digestive. It should be served chilled down to 10°C.

Rakia PrepečenicaTraditional Serbian natural rakija obtained by double distillation of fermented crushed grapes of carefully selected plum varieties. Traditionally, it is consumed during meal with cold salads and entrees, but good connoisseurs and rakija lovers, recommend it as an excellent digestive. For full enjoyment, cool the brandy down to temperatures between 7°C and 10°C.

Atlantic vodkaThis is a drink produced of the finest refined alcohol, and the purity and neutrality of its flavour are obtained through special alcohol softening procedures and careful filtration which gives this popular drink its basic traits.It is recommended as an aperitif when chilled down to 10°C or with ice. It is an irreplaceable ingredient in numerous cocktails and ideal companion for juices and non-alcoholic beverages.

Gorka TajnaElegant and well-balanced bitter liqueur originating from careful combination of natural plant extracts. Markedly dark redish and green-brown colour comes from the wormwood and mint extracts. It can be served as an aperitif, used as a cocktail ingredient but also as a unique digestive. This liquer may be drank cold, with a slice of orange or lemon in the glass.

Terra LazaricaMerlotHigh quality dry red wine made of Merlot grape variety grown on the carefully selected micro locations which are part of the Rubin’s own vineyeards.Cabernet SauvignonHigh quality dry red wine made of grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon which grown’s in the Rubin’s vineyards. It is recommended to be served with mature cheeses in olive oil, rather picante pasta dressings, smoked and raw noble fish, finest dry specialities as well as with red meat and game. It is best served at the temperature of 18°C.

Terra LazaricaChardonnayExtremely high quality white dry wine made from grapes with specially selected sunshine of Razanj vineyard. Best served with spicy appetizers and seafood, fish specialties and roasted meat. Cooled to 10 - 12 ° C complements the flavors of foods to drink, creating an atmosphere that leaves no one indifferent.Sauvignon blancUnique top quality white dry wine made from grapes from the Crkvina pottery from Temnićki vineyard where this variety gives top quality of specific recognition. It is served with mature cheeses, diced meat in spicy sauces and specialties from noble freshwater and sea fish. Served refrigerated to 10 - 12 ºC.

VronskyRubin expanded its assortment of wine and rosé wine by introducing a sparkling wine called “Vronski” which is produced in a traditional manner. It goes very well both meats and desserts and represents the climax of every event. Recommended serving temperature for this wine is between 7°C and 9°C.

GraševinaThis is a dry white wine made in a traditional manner from grape variety Italian Riesling. It is recom-mended with cold and hot entrees, salads and specialities made of white meat and fish. It is best served at temperatures between 10°C and 12°C.

Medveđa krvA unique technology was used inside Rubin’s cellars to produce a modern half-sweet red wine made of autohtonous grape varieties: Prokupac and Vranac. It is drunk on all occasions and can by fully appreciated when served at temperatures between 14°C and 16°C.

Car LazarHalf-dry red wine produced in a traditional way from the mixture of red grape varieties of Prokupac, Vranac, Merlot and Game. It is very well suited for smoked delicatessen and culinary specialities of red met and game. Serving temperature for this wine is between 14°C and 16°C.Carica MilicaHalf-dry red wine made from grape varieties: Prokupac and Black Burgundy. It goes exceptionally well with delicatessen and culinary specialities made of young red meat. The serving temperature is between 12°C and 14°C.

VermouthRubin Vermouth is a flavored wine obtained from a specially selected white wine, with the addition of extracts of bitter and aromatic plants. It contains 60% natural wine, and the main characteristic is the taste of wormwood, perfectly combined with other plants. It is usually drunk as an aperitif. It is also suitable for consumption with other alcoholic beverages, so it is combined with vinjak, vodka or brandy.

SpritzerRubin created and introduced a completely new wine category to the markets in Serbia and the region. Dedicated to the goal of appealing to each consumer, the technology experts brought joy to those who love a good drink – canned spritzer. IRubin offers two kinds of spritzer, one made of rosé wine and the other made of table half-dry white wine. The quantity is sufficient for a complete sensation (0.5L).

About usThe factory began its production in 1871, as a small chemical plant narrowly specialized in the soap production (toilette, washing, glycerin). Named ALBUS in 1927, the factory already produced 180 wagons of soap for the domestic market and export, at the time. Those days, ALBUS cooperated with well-known European companies: Yves Rocher (France), Boldoot (Amsterdam) etc. The portfolio expanded rapidly –adding fabric care, household care, cosmetics to the core portfolio. First powder detergents were produced in 1975 and first fabric softeners seven years after that.

In 1997, Albus was the first detergent producer that gained ISO 9002 certificate. Nowadays, the factory implements highest safety standards of raw material, production process and final control. ALBUS enhanced its market performance and developed into a modern company.
