Gainesville, Florida Alumnae Chapter
Zeta Sisters,
We are very excited to begin another year of celebrating our
sisterhood together!
I am thrilled to announce that our chapter received Crown Chapter
at Convention and our very own Lisa Posteraro received her honor
ring. Congratulations Lisa! We are so proud of you!
We have many exciting activities planned that include social, service,
and sisterhood activities, as well as support to Gamma Iota, our local
collegiate chapter. Since our group is comprised of all ages,
represents many collegiate chapters and has a wide range of
interests and backgrounds, we have tried to plan something for
everyone.
Please plan on attending the Recruitment Brunch on Saturday,
August 27th, , 10:30am, at the home of Carol Kem (1809 NW 47th
Street Gainesville Florida 32605).
Dues are $40 ($42 if you wish to use PayPal) and are payable by
check to the “Gainesville Alumnae Chapter of ZTA”. You can mail
your form to our treasurer, Brenda Williams, at 13918 NW 15th
Lane, Gainesville, Florida 32606, or bring them with you to the
Recruitment Brunch.
Hope to see everyone soon!
ZLAM,
Kathy Valdes

Events / Updates and Opportunities
FOCUS on Sisterhood— Cali Sanford and Carol Kem VP Programming.
This years theme is FOCUS on Sisterhood.
We decided to break the programming mold. While we will still hold cornerstone
events (like the holiday party and the recruitment brunch), we have added a series of events
throughout September, January, and April. These events were created as a direct result
of your feedback!
Coupled with these new events is a renewed dedication to service called
"Nine for Nine," or one service donation for each of the nine events,
representing our nine founders. Depending on which events you attend, you will be
asked to bring a small item to donate to a charity (this is voluntary!). We sincerely hope you
enjoy this year and we look forward to seeing everyone!
