THE POWER OF TOUCH

“A prophet is not without honor except in his

native place and among his own kin

and in his own house.”

Mark 6: 4

THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP

AS A WAY OF LIFE

“As the Lord spoke to me, the spirit entered me and set

me on my feet, and I heard the one who was speaking

say to me, ‘Son of man, I am sending you…’”

Ezekiel 2: 2-3

God asks each of us to do some special work for Him.

He gives us the resources we need to do His work.

However, do we listen to God when He calls? Do we get

up on our feet and use our talent to do the work He asks

of us? Remember, God doesn’t call the equipped, he

equips the called.

Stewardship Reflection July 8th Ezekiel and Jesus were both rejected by those who were

close to them. May we be open-minded enough to see

God revealing his will for us from those whom we least

expect. May we live and act with the heart of Jesus and

not let people’s judgements hold us back from being the

stewards God has empowered us to be.

A Summer Blessing

May you walk with God this summer

In whatever you do wherever you go

Walking with God means...

Walking with honesty and with courage,

Walking with love and respect

And concern for the feelings of others

May you talk to God

This summer and every day

and in every situation

Talking with God means...

Praying words of praise

For the beauty of creation

Saying prayers of thanks

For friends and good times,

Asking God's help in all your decisions

Expressing sorrow

When you have failed

May you talk with God

Every day. Amen. - Author unknown
