Step 2 - Shampoo
l Lightly Shampoo with CHI Transformation Shampoo
l Being careful not to stimulate or disturb the scalp to much at this point.
l Towel dry the hair
Step 3a - Preparations
l Apply CHI Transformation Treatment to porous ends for up to 5 minutes for up to 5 minutes
l Rinse.

l Mist hair generously with CHI Keratin Mist from roots (including scalp) to ends (including scalp) to ends and leave in.
l Apply CHI Silk Infusion, mainly to the porous parts of the hair and leave in.

l This will begin to infuse the CHI Keratin Mist and Silk Infusion deep into the hair to even the porosity and fill any voids in the cuticle scales.

Virgin/Resistant Hair: Formula Al Hair must be completely dry before application of Phase #1 Solution
Colored/Chemical Treated Hair: Formula Bl Hair must be completely dry before application of Phase #1 Solution
Highlighted, Porous/Fine Hair: Formula Cl Hair should be slightly damp before application of Phase #1 Solution
Step 3b - Sectioning
l Split the head into 4 quadrants, from ear to ear and center forehead hairline to center nape forehead hairline to center nape hairline (or follow the natural parting on the top)
l Isolate ½ to 1 inch subsection around hairline depending on hair density.
Step 4 - Application
l Measure desired amount of chosen Transformation solution in a plastic bowl.bowl.
l Always start the application from bottom of your back quadrants (nape) followed by two front quadrants
l Remember to leave the hair line subsections till last.
l Use 1/8 inch horizontal subsections
l Comb each section prior to application of Phase 1 solution
l Wearing gloves apply generously with tint brush to areas you want to transform (straighten)
Step 4 - Application
l Lay the hair straight
Follow the natural growth l Follow the natural growth pattern of the hair
l After the application is completed
DO NOT COMB THE HAIR!

Step 5 -Processing and Testing
Always test in 3 different places (back, sides and front)
Check the elasticity of the hairl Take a small strand of hair between your fingers and gently pull in
outward direction you should feel the hair return back like an elastic band
Check formationl By using water spray bottle, remove product from strand and check the
formation against palm of your handl Important! You are not looking for perfectly straight hair at this point.
l When desired transformation has been achieved hair is ready for intermediate rinsing
l Do not comb the hair!

l Use your professional judgment!l Always strand test prior application.
Step 6 -Intermediate Rinsing
l Rinse with Luke warm water minimum of 5 min.
l Longer hair requires additional rinsing (10 – 15 minutes)
l Make sure all the Phase #1 Transformation solution has been thoroughly rinsed out of the hair and scalp
l Towel dry the hair
l Apply Transformation Treatment from roots to ends for 5 min. remembering to be gentle with the hair at this point
l Rinse and towel dry
l Do not comb the hair!
Always towel dry the hair prior!
Always apply generous amount ofCHI Silk Infusion and leave in.
Step 7 -Drying (prior bonding)
CHI Silk Infusion and leave in.
Formula A (Virgin/Resistant)l Using fingers and CHI Air remove 70% of the moisture.
l Finish drying the remaining 30% with round brush.
Formula B(Color/Chemically treated)
Using fingers and CHI Air

l Using fingers and CHI Air remove 90% of the moisture.
l Finish drying the remaining 10% with round brush.

Formula C (Highlighted, Porous/Fine hair)
Use only your fingers and l Use only your fingers and CHI Air to completely dry the hair
l Do not pull the hair or use any brushes.
Step 8 - Pressing
l Hair must be completely dryprior to pressing with the CHI Iron.Iron.
l Apply generous amount of CHI Silk Infusion and leave in.
Pressing roots and mid-shafts:l Start at the nape taking 1/8 inch horizontal sections

sectionsl Begin pressing by squeezing with your CHI Iron in a downward motion from roots to mid-lengths 2 to 3 times stopping at ends.
l CHI Iron should be as close to the scalp as possible.
l Use fine tooth comb to direct and control the hair.
l At this point DO NOT take the CHI Iron through to the ends of the hair
Step 8 - Pressing
Pressing the ends:l Wait until you have pressed 2
to 3 subsections l Combine these sections l Combine these sections
together, and continue to press the ends in exactly same manner
l Work on subsequent sections in the same manner until all the hair has been pressed with the CHI Iron
Note:l When performing a re-touch,
use the same procedure, but press only the new growth area.
* Important Note
Step 8 - Pressing
l Take care and time over the pressingl The pressing procedure will determine how straight and smooth the effects of the CHI Transformation System are.
l Use ONLY CHI-Iron for pressing.
Step 9 - Bonding
l Pour desired amount of Phase #2 Transformation Bonder into plastic bowl.
l Start at the nape area, taking 1/8 inch horizontal sections, comb the section.
l Wearing gloves, apply a generous amount of Phase #2 bonder with tint brush smoothing the hair in a downward motion.
l After each section has been applied, you maycomb in a downward motion with a wide tooth comb to ensure the hair stays smooth and straight.
l Continue working in the same manner until all the hair has been covered with the phase #2 Transformation bonder.
l Process 5 minutes room temperature!
l Final rinse for a minimum of 5 minutes
Step 9 - Bonding
l Towel dry the hair
l Apply generous amount of CHI Transformation Treatment and leave for 5 minutes.
l Rinse.
l Towel dry.
Step 10 -Final Seal Drying and Ironing
l Apply generous amount of CHI Silk Infusion
l Start to dry and infuse with the CHI Air.
l Use round brushes or fingers, which ever you prefer.
l Optional final seal with CHI Iron and CHI Silk Infusion
l Style as you wish
