Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The Reception of the Sacraments of Initiation for
Adults for (2019-2020) will be held on Saturday,
September 5th at 7:00 pm at Saint Michael the
Archangel Parish. The practice will be on Thursday,
September 3rd at 7:30 pm after the 7:00 pm mass.

WELCOME TO BISHOP-DESIGNATE
EDWARD C. MALESIC On July 16th Pope Francis named the Most
Reverend Edward C. Malesic, J.C.L., as the 12th bishop
of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. He was born on
August 14, 1960. He is a native of Pennsylvania. His
mother was of German descent and his father is of
Slovenian descent.
In 1981, he went to the seminary in Columbus, Ohio
to earn a Master of Divinity degree in 1987.
Archbishop of Philadelphia, our former Bishop,
Archbishop Nelson J. Perez stated in the Catholic Philly
on July 16th the following:
“I was filled with great joy this morning
to learn that our Holy Father has
appointed Most Reverend Edward C.
Malesic as the 12th Bishop of the Diocese
of Cleveland. Bishop Malesic brings to his
new diocese vast administrative
expertise, a priestly heart, and a deep
commitment to serving the pastoral and
temporal needs of the Church with zeal
and energy.”
We look forward to his installation on September 14th
at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral in Downtown
Cleveland.

DESIGNADO EDWARD C. MALESIC El 16 de julio, el Papa Francisco nombró al
Reverendo Edward C. Malesic, J.C.L., como el 12o obispo
de la Diócesis Católica de Cleveland. Nació el 14 de
agosto de 1960. Es nativo de Pensilvania. Su madre era
de ascendencia alemana y su padre es de ascendencia
eslovena.
En 1981, fue al seminario en Columbus, Ohio para
obtener una Maestría en Divinidad en 1987.
El arzobispo de Filadelfia, nuestro previo obispo, el
