Franciscan School of Theology
September 2013 FST is a Roman Catholic
graduate theological school, owned and operated by the
Province of Saint Barbara of the Order of Friars Minor. Rooted
in 800 years of Franciscan tradition, FST is a place where
the issues and concerns of society intersect with
theological education.
Franciscan School of Theology FST students and alumni are
workers in the fields of a spiritually starving world. They provide for
the poor; they promote social justice; they care for the suffering
in homes and hospitals; they console the dying; they provide
comfort to the neglected in community centers; they teach, they celebrate the sacraments in our parishes; they are – in the
spirit of Clare and Francis of Assisi – Christian witnesses
in the world.
Family Prayer for the Year of FaithO God our Father, by the
light of the Holy Spirit, lead us to be thankful for the gift of faith, and by that gift may we grow in our relationship
with Jesus, your Son, and be confident witnesses to Christian hope and joy
to all we meet. We ask this in the name of
Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
In 1223, St. Francis created the first Christmas crib so that the people around the Italian village of Greccio could have a first
person experience of the incarnation of Jesus.

Like his original followers, Franciscans today are called
to be persons of prayer involved in a variety of
ministries. A Community of Franciscan Friars call the Old
Mission home with some working in the Parish, the Old Mission, and the Cemetery,
while others are retired.
