There is pain, sor- row, disappointment, cruelty, rejection, and persecution. These are the kinds of things that make us yearn for some- thing better. But, on the oth- er hand there is beauty, love, kindness, compassion, honor and integrity. These are the things that make us believe there is hope. Why do we have to exist in such a mixed up world? The reality of eternity is much closer than we realize, we need to get ready to go home. Repentance is important because sin is real. We have all been touched by it and we have all been guilty of it. There are many religions in the world, but only One Savior. The Savior promises to forgive and transform all who truly repent. We can experience for ourselves the reality of His promise. Last week we enjoyed our Valentine’s Banquet and all our friends who came to join us. We pray that the “Love” of February will fol-low us through the rest of the year. There are many who have physical and spiritual needs.

Our special this morning “I’m Free,” was sung by Linda and David Cranfi eld. We always enjoy having them in our services.

Bro. Larry’s message was taken from Matthew 3:1-6 and entitled “The Importance of Repentance.” Repentance is important because heaven is near. This is an imperfect world. There is pain, sor-row, disappointment, cruelty, rejection, and persecution. These are the kinds of things that make us yearn for some-thing better.
