JULY 5, 2006 February 1, 2017 Welcome to Scott Ragotskie who has been hired as a part-time Senior Lab Technician-Music in the evening hours from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Mon- day through Friday. He will also come in some weekends to work as sound engineer, mixer, and stage technician for the McKinney Theatre. Due to the numerous and high-quality music events that have increased over the years, it was necessary to hire a part-time music lab tech. His duties are to set up and operate audio systems for college venues such as the McKinney Theatre and music technology classrooms as well as the recording studio. He earned an AA at Fullerton College in Communi- cation (Radio/Television, Audio Production and Music). During college, he began working as an audio engineer for McCune Audio in Anaheim and worked with such clients as comedian Gallagher, the Los Angeles Raiders, the USC Trojans and the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival. After graduating from college, he founded Business Partners and started a 10,000 square foot recording/rehearsal studio facility called Sound Ma- trix Studios located in Fountain Valley, California. He operated this facility as co-owner, presi- dent, and chief engineer from 1996 to 2011 at which time he formed his own company, Skie Music Group. This commercial recording studio and artist development/management company is located in San Clemente. Along with working at Saddleback, Scott is also a pro-tools in- structor and operator at Fullerton College. Scott is part equity owner of Radioflag in Newport Beach, an Internet Radio Social Media App for Music-Sports and Education. RadioFlag serves listeners, DJs and music artists, providing a 'Connective Listening' LIVE radio experience. The RadioFlag app is Social - Real Live Radio with a global reach, available for free on the Web, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. RadioFlag allows Indie, College, Internet and Community DJs and radio hosts from around the world, to be spotlighted and promoted, so listeners everywhere can discover their shows as well as other diverse and unique content that interests them, not found on mainstream radio. They gave a Ted Talk last year and were asked back again this year. Born and raised in Upstate New York, Scott moved to southern Cal- ifornia after high school. He now lives in Dana Point and has two sons ages 15 and 22. His hobbies are songwriting, playing the gui- tar, mountain biking, motorcycles, motorsports, boating, paddle- boarding, cooking and he’s a foodie! This writer always asks profile subjects to describe themselves in one word. Scott gave me five and said to pick one. I don’t know him well yet but he definitely seems driven so that’s the word!
