MAINTENANCE FACILITY UPDATEOur golf course maintenance team is extremely pleased to move into our brand new, state-of-the-art maintenance facility! The building is finished and site work, along with landscaping, will be wrapped up over the coming months. This new complex provides our staff a comfortable work environment for daily tasks and meetings, in addition to affording an area to neatly and safely store machinery and tools. We now have large storage bins for bulk materials and a dedicated equipment cleaning station. Our equipment manager, Tim Meador, will also benefit from a climate-controlled shop and improved tools to work with.

Our team will be spending extensive time over the next few weeks working to cleanup former staging locations and material storage sites. Returning these areas to the natural look of the club is our goal.

If you have any questions or would like a tour of our new facility, please reach out to me directly at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Steven Ball

DORMIE NETWORK NEWS

MEMBERS-ONLY CUSTOM GOLF BALL PROGRAM Dormie Network has officially launched its exclusive members-only custom golf ball program, through which members can subscribe to receive custom golf balls shipped directly to their home, office, home club, or other preferred address. Through the program, members receive a 10% discount on three dozen golf balls delivered at three-month intervals. Members also receive complimentary customizations on golf ball orders. To learn more about this program, contact Ashley Conkling at [email protected].

AGRONOMY STAFF RECEIVE REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TRAINING Technicians and equipment mechanics across the network recently attended extensive training at the John Deere factory—focusing specifically on troubleshooting mowers and setting up reels. This recent training session was part of a larger vision to implement continuing education as an ongoing practice for agronomy staff across the network. The benefits are two-fold, ensuring safer, more efficient machine operations while reducing equipment downtime and facilitating more precise cuts on turf. Of course, more precise cuts result in healthier turf and faster green speeds.

PGA MERCHANDISE SHOW RECAP Dormie Network’s leadership team, golf professionals, and merchandising team headed to Orlando, Florida last month for the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show. The event gave Dormie Network a look at the latest apparel, equipment, technology, and more. We were privileged to meet with partners and vendors from across the industry to plan for the year ahead and beyond.

PLAN YOUR NEXT TRIP Your Dormie Network concierge team looks forward to helping you plan your next golf trip. With the upcoming golf season, open cottage nights for February, March, and April are increasingly limited.
