Give them strength in body, courage in spirit and patience in pain. We give you thanks for the gift of their lives.

Sustain those who suffer the loss of well-being, mobility, and freedom. We place them into your hand in the name

Sending Forth For The Rite of Election

As we approach the Holy Season of Lent, the Church celebrates the Rite of Election for our Catechumen who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil. During the forty days of Lent, the Church engages in an intense preparation for the celebration of Easter. As we journey with our Catechumen in the RCIA, and deliberate on her readiness for Election. On Sunday, February 11th at the 8:45AM Liturgy, we will celebrate the Rite of Sending of our Catechumen to the Bishop. The Rite of Election is the focal point of the Church’s concern for Catechumens readiness. On the First Sunday of Lent, February 18, at 4:30PM at Saint Benedict Church, Bishop Garcia will celebrate the Rite of Election for all Catechumens in the Northern part of the Diocese of Monterey. Continue to pray for our Catechumen and all the Catechumens of the Diocese.
