B. Products Description
Ergaҫia Company made a sushi-inspired snack
with a traditional kick. We replace the rice of the
sushi with tofu, and the nori roll by singkong
leaves. Then after, we fried them after coating
them with flour. The shape will look like a real
sushi, and the texture will be crispy on the outside
and soft on the inside. That’s why we call our product, ‘Tahooshi’. It’s a short from the words tahu and
sushi.
The fillings of Tahooshi will vary from salmon, shrimp, crabstick, melted cheese, and smoke beef.
The toppings of our product is a compilation of grated cheese, Bangkok chilli sauce, tomato sauce, and
mayonnaise. However, costumers are in full charge on their preferences of fillings and toppings as they
can choose whichever they liked.
For drinks, we accompany Tahooshi with sweet tea. There are two options, ice tea and hot tea.
C. Values Proposed Through Business a) Selling experiences to costumers
b) Spreading creativity through innovative products
c) Promoting Indonesia’s value and culture with modern twist
d) Providing healthy snacks that fill your appetite
II. The Philosophy
Food and culinary nowadays has become a lifestyle. In this modern era, people would rather buy foreign
food and would pay a lot more to the idea of ‘trendy’ foreign food.
Here, Ergaҫia wants to raise awareness towards Indonesia’s culture in food and lifestyle. We want to make
modern hip food (in this case we picked sushi) to use Indonesia’s traditional food, which is tahu and singkong
leaves as our main ingredient. Our intention is to promote, elevate, and innovate the use of tahu and singkong
leaves. Also to help Indonesia’s farmer and traditional market by buying the ingredients, selling it as a new
product, and promoting it.
For selling, we run a gerobak decorated in Japanese style. The idea here is still the same. To promote
Indonesia’s culture and value through modern twist.
III. Management
A. Organization Structure This is the original structure noted by 19/10/2016
B. Plans, Issues, and Solutions
No. Division Plans, Objectives and Reality Check
Issues & Challenges Solutions
1. Marketing Creating grand design (logos, posts, packaging, etc.) and company branding
Promoting the product and in charge of Tahooshi taste market survey
Finding potential place to sell Tahooshi
Finding events for Tahooshi to participate
Target new customers Enhance customer
relationships Together with
Operation work to
1) Having hard times finding the right packaging that suits the aesthetic of Tahooshi but also matched the budgeting. 2) Not maximized on promoting Tahooshi because was too busy helping operation cooking and producing Tahooshi because operation needed more people to help 3) Blurred lines between
1) Increasing the activity of surveying the right vendors for packaging and eventually settles for the best packaging. 2) and 3) Company held a meeting to discuss the seemingly inexistence gap between marketing and operation then decided to reorganize the company structure. Several members from the marketing team are moved to the operation team. *
increase profits
jobs execution with marketing (ex: buying packaging while this was supposed to be operation’s jobs).
2. Operation Producing and cooking the products
Doing research and in charge of buying the best ingredients and equipment needed
Direct survey of the place to sell based on what Marketing founded and determine whether it’s suitable or not
Direct execution of selling, getting permits from venue to sell
Evaluate, list, and in charge of storaging all the products, raw material, and equipment needed for the next day
Quality control of the product (making sure that the products sold are the best)
In charge of delivering products to costumers
Together with Marketing work to increase profits
1) Difficulties on execution and producing the product because lack of members. Overwhelmed by the jobs.
2) Difficulties on mobilization of the raw ingredients in large amount because not all of the Operation team members have cars for massive mobilization
3) Difficulties on maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of buying and stocking ingredients that are out of stock
4) Because of the lack of people, operations somehow always asked for Marketing helps and this caused marketing to not do their own job maximally.
5) Miscommunication between Head of Operation and the members that caused internal conflicts.
1) Getting help from other team members such as from Finance, Secretary, and Marketing.
2) Decided to stock the products in one place and decided to cook in one place which is on Amirul’s place near Pasteur to minimize mobilization, and for massive mobilization such as to go to some venue, operation is helped by Marketing members that have cars.
3) At first, there were no listing systems and noting evaluating system. So it was kind of a mess because sometimes the brief is forgotten and the jobs weren’t done efficiently (ex: forgetting that some ingredients are out of stock when on the spot selling then had to go far to buy the ingredients). But then after, operation teams evaluated their work ethic and immediately started to have the noting and listing system to evaluate everything after selling.
4) Company held a meeting to discuss the seemingly inexistence gap between Marketing and Operation then decided to reorganize the company structure. Several members from the Marketing team are moved to the Operation team. *
5) Operation team together with Human Resources, Co-CEO, and Secretary had a meeting to evaluate work ethic and together talk about the problems. Understanding
between each other is achieved.
3. Finance Managing company’s cash and budgeting
Making financial report
Managing and recapitulating the cash flow
1) Held back from writing the financial report (price estimation, etc.) because operation hasn’t completed the survey for products, ingredients and packaging
2) Writing the financial reports because lack of experience
1) Helping the Operation teams on determining the price estimation and started to write what can be written while waiting for the fixed products price
2) Consulting with lecturers and friends. Learning by asking to write better reports.
4. Human Resources Evaluating the company’s performance
Making shifts for the execution of producing and selling Tahooshi
As a mediator whenever conflicts arise and as a place to consult non-technically (internal and/or external problems)
Making sure that all members are treated equally and nobody works too forcefully or harder than the other
1) Too late in handling the internal conflicts between Head of Operation and its members, that the conflicts started to affect other division’s performance
2) Delayed in arranging the shift for execution and place to sell, because at first the venue wasn’t fixed yet
1) After the conflict seems to be bigger, HR immediately held a meeting for evaluation as a rational mediator for members to complain about the problems. Then finally understanding is achieved.
2) Starting to arrange the shift little by little while waiting for the fixed venue
* This is the new and updated organization structure of Ergaҫia, noted by 15/11/2016
IV. Business Model
This is the original BMC we initiated on 19/11/2016. From there, we have implemented the BMC to our
business and evaluated the whole plan whether it works or not during the 2 weeks process.
1. Key Partnership Our plan was to partner up with GO-JEK (formally, as in we put our business on the
applications), Teh Botol Sosro (buyer-supplier relationship and for us to get facility like stand tent, etc. in
exchange of us selling their products), and to partner up with other companies.
But after discussing a little bit further, the permitted license and negotiation with Teh Botol
Sosro would take at least one week because it is told from our survey that the birocracy would take
longer time and we didn’t have time to wait. Because we needed to put price estimation for the
financial report, and we just couldn’t take the risk to wait a little longer.
GO-JEK however, we could put our business on the application, but we think that it wouldn’t be
very effective since we are newcomers and to have costumers actually look and buy our product from
GO-JEK isn’t very reliable for our business. It might be better if we run the business in the long run and
starts on building the brand and costumers trust to actually purchase our product from GO-JEK apps, but
we’re newcomers that will close our business simulation in the next two weeks. So after discussing, it’s
best for us to have our own delivery system and use GO-JEK as a regular delivery system by GO-SEND
when the costumer’s destination is too far from our selling place.
In terms of partnering up with other company, we had been asked by several companies to join
them on attending venues and events to ease the rent cost. Such as Milk-It Way by Astronaut co. on
Japan Art Festival @ Sabuga ITB, and others at Marketown @ Husein Sastranegara Airport. But we
decided to maximize on selling by pushing our delivery system, because we were too afraid that
attending such venues won’t really help the selling while so far, our profit hasn’t really achieved our
initial target and it was a right decision for us, since other companies didn’t really do well in replacing
back the money used for rent cost. In conclusion, the partnership Ergaҫia implemented here is only in
the range of exchanging of buying each other’s products to help each other.
2. Key Resources Ergaҫia is a small and starting company that applies the term ground-to-earth to our project. So
our resources are small and simple but very convenient to our business. Here’s what we consider as
the key resources:
a.) Physical Assets
Tangible and material things in the name of Ergaҫia, including cash (capital we got from SBM,
and our own profit from selling), equipment (ex: gas stove, gas, kitchen supplies, and product
ingredients) and properties owned by the business (ex: gerobak)
b.) Database
We got database of suppliers of the ingredients which is sellers from various traditional markets
(Ciroyom, Balubur Town Square, etc.) and venue contacts from community and events in Bandung.
Overall, the database helped us regarding stocking the product and venue contacts has helped
us to determine which place for us to sell best. We chose to sell in front of Unpad (Dipatiukur), on
Diponegoro Street, and near STAMP Graha Pos Indonesia on Riau street.
But because of several reasons such as weather and difficulties in massive mobilization
(especially to rig the gerobak), we only sell on Unpad for the first new nights then move to our
basecamp which is on Dago Asri 1 Street No. D6 in front of Urban Gym and on the last day on
STAMP Graha Pos Indonesia.
c.) Partnership
Because our initial plan was to partner up with GO-JEK and Teh Botol Sosro, partnership in our
mind would be the key resources for our business. But because the plans were scrapped,
partnership as our key resources didn’t really work for the business plan.
d.) Human
The members of our team are the ultimate key resources for this business. Without the hands
and works of the team, nothing would work out.
e.) Finance
The capital we got from SBM and our own profits are the key resources for our business.
3. Key Activities
Together, Ergaҫia Company created and produced a product called Tahooshi, which is a fusion of
Japanese food and Indonesian food. We sell Tahooshi by running a gerobak and stops by several places
mainly on night time on weekdays, and from the morning on Sunday. We provided chairs and
comfortable environment to the hope that costumers can stay and chat for a while there.
We also sell the Tahooshi using a pre-order and delivery system, and the people interested can
directly contact Ergaҫia via our official LINE account or through personal chatting the members to order.
We personally will deliver the product, but if the address is too far, we’ll use GO-JEK service.
Key activities of Ergaҫia is to build Tahooshi as a product through several divisions and their job
description.
First, Marketing focuses on creating the brand. Including creating grand design such as logo,
doing social media promotion, handling the delivery service, and increasing the profit through finding
costumers.
Operations handles the job of quality control of the product. Buying the best ingredients and
equipments. Producing, cooking, and delivering the best Tahooshi each time the costumers ordered
one.
Finance controls budgeting, HR makes sure that no body is being burdened by making shift so all
of us are equal, Secretary took notes on important changes and making reports, CEO and CO-CEO hold
responsibility of all the divisions and together make and determine big decisions for the company.
But, when it comes to production (producing raw Tahooshi), execution (selling Tahooshi) and
marketing (promoting Tahooshi), all of us teamed together as a company and we help each other even
though some jobs aren’t suitable in the terms of our job description.
We sell Tahooshi together according to the shift and venue that was made by HR Team.
Here’s how you make Tahooshi explained in Bahasa Indonesia as told by the Tahooshi inventor, Nadya A
(for production team’s guide)
“1. Daun singkongnya dicuci terus di rebus tambahin garam/royco secukupnya (dikit aja)
2. Bubukin tahunya jangan terlalu halus, terus tambahin telur (20 tahu = 2 telur) terus kasih royco
secukupnya.
3. Angkat daun singkongnya terus susun di plastik pokonya susun sampe ga ada yg bolong
4. Ratain tahunya di daun singkong, setiap ujungnya sisain jarak jangan full kasih ayu. Tahunya jangan
kebanyakan.
5. Masukin isiannya, isiannya kalau crabstik 1 dibagi 4 trs yg di masukin isiannya 5 potong. Buat udang
juga 5 potong. Salmon juga. Buat yg keju juga.
6. Buat yg udang sama salmon sebelum di masukin ke tahunya kasih royco sama merica dulu diaduk
baru masukin ke tahunya
7. Terus gulung, pertama ngegulungnya jangan kecil sedang aja biar akhirnya besar. Kalau ada yg
bolong tambal. Terus bikin tiap rasa 5 gulung. Kukusnya* per 5 gulung. Jadi 1 rasa di kukus barengan.
Jangan dipotong jadi 2 dulu sebelum dikukus biarin panjang
* Cara ngukusnya:
1. Isi air di langsengnya sedikit aja. Itu kan ada garis nah harus dibawah garis itu. Terus panasin dulu
airnya. Udah 5 menit baru masukin sushi nya buat di kukus. Di kukus selama 20 menit api sedang. Kalau
udah beres dikukus angkat. Diemin dulu, kalau udah agak dingin masukin kulkas. Siap untuk dibalur
telur, tepung, dan digoreng!”
Bahan:
-Daun singkong
-Tahu
-Telur
-Garam
-Bumbu Royco
-Bahan isian
(salmon,
crabstick, keju,
smoke beef,
udang)
4. Value Proposition Tahooshi gives costumers new experience in tasting the innovative sushi shaped gorengan tahu
that uses singkong leaves but still has a modern twist in the fillings and toppings. Here we also wanted
to produce Indonesian food that matches the international taste with its modern twist.
One of the first main thought on creating Tahooshi is to substitute seafood that serves as the
main ingredients of sushi, and could attract costumers that’s interested with sushi but unable to taste it
because of their personal dislike of seafood. But after a having a survey, it shows that most people still
prefers sushi basic ingredients such as salmon and shrimp as the fillings. So, we decided to not
completely diminish seafood in Tahooshi. But to replace the raw ingredients and cook it instead. Hence
why we created Tahooshi as an innovation of gorengan tahu that shaped like sushi. We fried them so
the ingredients aren’t raw.
Our initial plan was to also go total vegan, so the singkong leaves will attract vegetarian, but
based on the survey that shows fillings preference, little of the consumers are actually vegan and we
decided to not continue on branding ourself as vegan food truck.
In terms of food truck, our first plan was to use a real car. But because of difficulties on
execution, we used gerobak instead and in this case. It made Tahooshi a lot more special because who
sells sushi on a traditional Indonesian gerobak?
So here, Tahooshi is selling all kinds of experience to costumers.
5. Costumers Relationship
The kinds of relationship we built with costumers are transactional (right at that moment of
buying and selling). But, we managed to maintain that relationship to be a lot more long term than that.
We managed to built costumers trust that some came back to buy Tahooshi again and again (even until
5 packs, one by one) in a day span and some buy it almost every day since their first purchase.
We’ve also been told by several costumer that our product is the best on this business
simulation. But the only critic they gave us is that maybe the price is a little bit high for a small sushi
tahu.
6. Channel Our listed channel helps Tahooshi products to be promoted, sold, and delivered. Based on the
BMC we created. We have maximize several of this media as our channel:
a) Car Free Day @ Dago, on Sunday Morning As a platform for us to held our very first taste market. Here, we asked strangers about
their personal opinions towards our product and how much we should sell them.
Car Free Day @ Dago also serves as the place for us to sell Tahooshi on Sunday morning.
b) Masjid Pusda’i At first, we planned to sell near Masjid Pusda’i. But it didn’t work out because we found
other place to sell Tahooshi.
c) Events in Bandung Such as Marketown @ Husein Sastranegara Airport, Japan Art Festival @ Sabuga ITB,
etc. But in the end, we decided to not participate on those kinds of events because from the
calculation by Finance team, it’s not going to be worth the rent price and we’re glad we
didn’t participate because the calculation was right.
d) Food Community
At first we were also planning to invite food community to try and review our product,
but because we had to pay for their fee, we decided to just maximize our income for
product and quality control behalf.
e) Instagram
Instagram has been used well as the platform to promote Tahooshi. There we put
Tahooshi menu, profile, where we’re selling at the moment, and we showed costumers
pictures that just bought our product as one of the way to build relationship with
costumers.
f) GO-JEK
While at first the plan was for GO-JEK to be the platform for costumers to buy our
product, instead we only use GO-JEK regarding delivering Tahooshi to the destination that’s
too far from where we’re selling via GO-SEND.
g) Poster
Our plan was also to place posters all around Bandung especially ITB, but we didn’t do it
because the cost of printing would be too pricey. Instead, we printed Tahooshi by Ergaҫia
Company small ID Card to reduce printing cost and we gave it to costumers whenever they
buy our products as an identification form. Our hope is the product will be talked mouth-by-
mouth. Because that would mean that costumers really dig the product and promote it.
h) Radio
Broadcasting our product and where we’re about to sell on the radio was our plan too at
first. But we decided to not do it because of the inefficiency. Our target consumers, which is
teenagers, nowadays don’t really listen to radio advertisement. So it would be waste of
money and time.
Aside all of the channels above, here’s two valuable additional channel that helped Tahooshi a lot:
a.) LINE
Promoting through LINE really helped us gaining consumers. It really was the most
effective platform of advertising. We also accepted delivery via LINE@ official account. By
there we could recap the order easily and neatly.
b.) Our Own Community (mouth-to-mouth)
Promoting to our own friends also helped Tahooshi gaining its costumers.
7. Costumer Segments Based on our tagline, ‘Tahu Kekinian’. Our target is teenagers that like to experiment and taste
new and innovated things and because we provided a tent near our gerobak, our hope is to also attract
teenagers that loves to hangout and talk all night. We also targeted foodies all across Bandung that would also join the experience of eating
Tahooshi.
8. Cost Structure a.) Variable Cost: including all the ingredients for the product, gas, nota book, and packaging purposes
b.) Fixed Cost: stove, chairds, gerobak, gerobak decoration, calculator, and kitchen supplies.
9. Revenue Ergaҫia’s revenue is from the selling of Tahooshi and drinks. We’re selling innovation and
experience. The production of Tahooshi is very hard, starting from forming the singkong leaves one by
one, steaming them, mashing the tahu, rolling it again, steaming it again, coating them with flours then
frying them. It’s complicated and took a lot of time to make, not to mention we also got other activities
outside business simulation. So the reason why our price is high is because we’re selling the services and
our time. Here’s the detail of how much we got from a pack of sushi (+drinks):
No Variety of Fillings Production Cost (includes the price of packaging, tea, and
toppings*)
Selling Price Profit
1. Salmon Rp14.750,- Rp22.500,- Rp7.750,-
2. Cheese Rp11.690,- Rp22.500,- Rp10.810
3. Smoke beef Rp7.900,- Rp18.000,- Rp10.100,-
4. Crabstick Rp9.850,- Rp18.000,- Rp8.150,-
5. Shrimp Rp9.100 Rp18.000,- Rp8.900,-
We also charged delivery cost a few times because turns out the address was too far.
*toppings or the sauce of Tahooshi are Bangkok chilli sauce, tomato sauce, mayonnaise and grated
cheddar cheese.

- How to execute efficiently
- Still a little bit unprepared on the technical stuff such as delivery systems and cooking on the spot

2. 11-12/11/2016 Friday – Saturday
@Wahana Trapped SBM
7PM – 9 PM
- Selling Tahooshi - Efficiency of team on the spot (cooking still takes too long, several members are still unfamiliar with the placing of products and equipment on the gerobak)
- Held an evaluation for next execution
3. 14/11/2016, Monday @CADL ITB
9 AM – 1 PM @Dago Asri 1 D6

- Adressing the blurred lineof Marketing and Production team’s jobs
- Selling at night was moved from Diponegoro to Dago Asri 1 D6 because of uncondusive weather
- Marketing hasn’t done a really great job promoting Tahooshi because was too busy helping Operation teams
- There will be a change on the organization structure to help Operation teams because they were overwhelmed by their jobs. The change will be set by HR and head of divisions discussion
- Marketing will now expected to focus on their own job
4. 15/11/2016, Tuesday
- At morning we implemented ‘danusan’ system because as we observe, people were too lazy waiting for the food to be ready and people were attracted to ready food too
- The release statement of organization structure changes*(mentioned above on Management section)
- BEP ACHIEVED THIS
- Danusan can only be done when we don’t have morning classes and that means we can’t do it everyday
- Marketing will maximize the promotion of pre-order system to be delivered by night (by spamming groups in LINE)
- Marketing has gained attention and people were attracted to Tahooshi
DAY!
* Even though there’s a structure changes, the schedules stays pretty much the same. Only now there’s a specified job
and member splitting (also assigned additional people to help) on the Operation team to ease their jobs. The purpose is
so Operation team members wouldn’t get too overwhelmed doing production and execution at the same time.
There will be two separated group:
a) Production -> Focuses on the day to produce and stock Tahooshi
b) Execution -> Focuses on the night to sell Tahooshi

Selama di Ergacia banyak hal yang dilakukan. Penggagasan ide, kerja, evaluasi,
emosional dan intelektual semua ada dan dikerahkan. Baik kesalahan maupun
selama melakukan eksekusi. Memberi arahan kepada kadiv kadiv disetiap divisi. Bisa
memberi saran dalam menentukan pilihan dalam berlangsungnya simulasi. Tapi saya
mengakui kontribusi saya juga kurang maksimal. Ada banyak hal yg harus dievaluasi
terkait kinerja saya selama simulasi. Kurang maksimal nya itu karena saya juga
memiliki tanggung jawab diluar simulasi ini. Mungkin beberapa teman yang kurang
faham terkait kesibukan saya diluar. Walaupun begitu saya begitu salut dengan
tim saya yang begitu antusias dan allout.
In the Business Simulation, my company, Ergacia, sold tahooshi or tofu
sushi. I was placed in the operational division that dealt with execution activities.
But prior to that, the operational division had no particular job description, so
every member of it had to take care all the matters regarding production to
selling activities, yet as time went on everyone felt that the system was
cumbersome, everyone's jobdesc. was doubled. That's why on the second week, a
change was issued, the operational division was divided into two subdivisions,
which were production and execution.
I myself was in the execution subdivision, my coworkers and I were in
charge of all the equipment and ensuring all things well prepared for the
execution. We did shopping, preparing, cleaning, that sometimes execution
team felt like we're working as general affair assistant. We really did devote
ourselves for the Business Simulation in order to get the expected profit or at
the very least to reach the BEP as soon as possible. Eventually indeed hard work paid off,
my company reached the BEP at around a week after we're selling Tahooshi, it really loosened up the all tensed
up nerves of Ergacia members.
After working together for 5 weeks in ergacia company, I feel like this is the
first time I learn business that is very useful for me because I go directly to the field.
Part of my job in marketing is convincing people to buy the products we sell. It is
obvious that the products we sold are new to the market. So, that is my challenge :
to ensure that the buyer will not regret spending money on Tahooshi. Although I am
originally in marketing division, I also assisted operational team in finding strategic
place to sell, help deciding the best packaging for Tahooshi.
I think marketing is an important part of a company, product that are sold
would not make the customer satisfied if the way we sell them is wrong. I think I gave my
best performance for my company, I did my job in marketing to introduce products that we
sold and establish good relationships with consumers and related companies with an external
environment. And I think in marketing its flaws in finding a place for marketing our products because of the tight spot in
Bandung, so places that we can not come too crowded for consumers. For sale as well in my opinion is still less because
we are just passing through social media and the environment
sebuah tim . Terima kasih !
As the coordinator of creative team, I was responsible in designing creative
printed materials for optimizing our marketing strategy together with the
other creative team member. These printed materials include product logo,
posters, photo template, and stickers. I personally have designed name cards,
discount promo poster, logo and ingredients stickers for product packaging, and
pre-order posters. Besides working on design, I was also one of Tahooshi’s LINE
account administrators who managed pre-order from customers. I responded to
customer’s orders and enquiries and updated Tahooshi’s selling activities through
LINE account. As I handled the customers, I made the recapitulation of order and
then forward it to the operational team each day. During the execution weeks, I did
not only work as a marketing staff, but also had responsibilities for helping the
operational team, such as being a delivery staff, co-chef, and packaging staff.
However, I faced problem in doing promotion strategy on the first execution week since
marketing team needed to work outside the job descriptions. We did not have much time to
maximize our promotion strategy. After the shift system was changed on the second week, I
could work as a marketing member optimally. Together with other marketing division members, I
kept promote Tahooshi through social media that eventually made our sales volume boosted.
Ergacia is my company name it sell Tahooshi. Tahooshi is sushi with soybean cake as a raw material. My
contribution from this company is searching all goods that required execution team and production team the
requirement is so many and I must bring most of all because of I’m came from Bandung and another reason is my house
is near from Ciroyom and Andir traditional market at ciroyom some resource is cheaper than in modern market. Even
my position is execution but I help production team too. I also do the execution and deliver the sushi,
making some tea (it’s our product compliment), sometimes I give advice to CEO
based on my experience. I try to learn how to manage people too (what I have
to do if meet some people that don’t want to give they best for the company).
I think in the future I can do better in some aspect for instance about self
control (especially emotion control), effective management (how to manage our
resource well), negotiation (less emotion and how to deliver our opinion
ploddingly). Last is what I learn from this project is about how to respect and treat
them good. I also learn about the variety of people paradigm. Communication must
in effective way and if we say something it will be better if we say it directly because
if we say it via social media or other people it will be difference as we know every
people have they own style of speech.
I am Alethea in finance division has already tried to give the best contribution for Ergacia
Company in these past two weeks. I was working with Lauren as finance team and our first task was
making a daily cash flow expectation report of our products. We had our own job description, but my
main job here was to input all expenses and incomes relate to our company, such as the
purchases of raw material, transportation or the sales of products everyday.
Although I had my own job, but I also helped operation team for executing
and produce the products that we are going to sell on the next day.
Basically, I did not have any significant trouble regarding to this group,
only a few difficulties I have experienced on the beginning of days which is the
times when the members sometimes forget to tell or inform anything about the
expenses or note the list of goods they just bought and it impacted to my daily
journal. But, as a team, we immediately solve the problem and always took it as
a lesson and then did a self-introspection.
For me, Ergacia is not only a place to simply get profit from sales
or richen me with the incomes, but it also granted me a valuable lesson
to learn and richen me with the experiences they gave.
Business simulation is very big impact for me as it gives experience and let
you know that doing business should take note of the smallest. Especially for my
choice, that is marketing division. I knew about marketing that is only promoting,
but when I learned it was not only that but must pay attention to the 4Ps that is
People, Promotion, Place, Product.
My position in marketing is the head of division, and marketing is divided
into two parts, namely the creative division and promotion division. In marketing I
set the schedule of marketing activities. I do in marketing is a survey place, set the
schedule, control activities creative division and promotion, helping the team
operational such as producing and delivery, search packaging, share the brand
in social media, invite people to share brand tahooshi, make and control
official account.
In my experience to become a marketing was not as easy as imagined,
because to find the sales location must see site conditions and the price of rental locations.
Multiple evaluations for myself because I feel guilty not to promote a product on target per
day. This business simulation gave a great lesson, because it teaches us to try to take risks and think ahead.
My experience in this company teaching not authoritarian manner, because the work that is done no matter
how small it meant a lot for company. When we already have the task should know the meaning of these tasks.
The business simulation which was held for 4 weeks gave me a lesson in a
way that I never imagined. From this business simulation I learned many things
such as tolerance, respect, and communication. There are some problems in
our company, mainly it is because of miscommunication. Miscommunication
leads to even bigger problems which messed up our group for a bit. However, we
can manage that. I learned how important communication is. Good communication
is essential because it is a source of information to the members for decision-making
process. There was a miscommunication in operation division which was a concerned
for our company. As a human resource division, I was able to mediate the problem and
they apologized to each other.
When in a company’s meeting I learned that tolerance is very important.
Ergacia members come from different background and ethnicity which makes the way
we deliver our opinion is different. That is when respect and tolerance important. I also
learned about time management and how to make an effective schedule. The first
schedule is not effective that we have to change it. It wasn’t effective because we only
made a schedule for execution yet there wasn’t a schedule for production. A company can run
well when the members have a sense of possess and enjoy every journey. I learned when I do
something that I enjoy, it doesn’t feel as a bargain and not as tiring. Business is not only about profit, it is also
about the process and how you grow with it.
In a big company, human resources is one of the vital part. Human resources department’s job is to control
everything about human need (read: employee) such as how to recruit and get potential employee, how to develop and
improve their skill, how to put right peoples in the right job position, make the job progress going well,
until how to figure out their fee. And for me I have almost done those job.
In the beginning of Ergacia company, I start to planning the company
organigram from their assets and arrange it. Not only that, I also made work
system, work schedule, work ethical and work policy. But please make note if
those are not all of by me, those are helped too by other people in company.
If there is a Human Resources department in company do not guarantee if no
one conflict happen in company’s life. Ergacia has it’s secret conflict that no need to
explain here but it could be disappear because HR team made an internal forum for
one of division who have a problem and HR take a part as their mediator/third side
(pihak ketiga).
And in the last of project we create a final event (after party) as their fee
changer. We do not want to realist the individual fee system because it could make
them egoistic. What I want is they can enjoy the result together because it comes from
team’s work not all by individual’s work. So the point is my job here to make them happy and
enjoy the work. However, beside of I do my job as HR, I also take a part into operational work as
execution team.
At the first week of pre-execution weeks i always come at tahooshi meeting and help contribute to pick a name
for our product. At first we have several name for our product. But, eventually after some more discussion we
determine to pick Tahooshi for the name, Tahooshi stands for Tahu Sushi. In second week of the pre-
execution i’m surveyed the price of our production needs at Baltos and compared it with the
same needs from other place and we conclude we can get the more reasonable price
at Pasar Simpang Dago. Then, at the final week of pre-execution me and the others
from execution start to prepare our needs for execution so we can selling without
trouble at the day of the execution. Then comes the 2 weeks of the execution where
we start selling our prouduct. At the several first day of execution i feel sick and can’t
stay too long to help and selling product. I feel less contribute at that several day. But,
I determined myself I must work harder when I recovered from sick. Then the next
day until the last day of our execution weeks I always come on time and help the
others. I works especially at preparation before execution, making tea for
customers, and clean up after execution. I hope with my determination I can
contribute more to our company and use all the best of me for my company
so i can give something useful and make our execution proceed nicely
without any problems
I, Indira Dara Safira, as Creative Team of Ergacia Company, already tried to
do my best in these 2 weeks of Simulation Business (but im sorry if it wasn't
enough). My first task in Ergacia was designing the logo for this company. I only
have one day to design the logo because of the deadline. So I personally didn’t
too satisfy with the logo. The next day, we discussed about our product name and
after all of us already choose the product name, which is Tahooshi, I design the
logo for Tahooshi too. I designed 5 logos and send it to our line group and let the
other members choose the best one to be Tahooshi’s logo. And then i made the
poster for promoting Tahooshi on social media. I made the template for the
menu too. So basically my tasks in Ergacia are all about designing things. But
although i'm in Marketing Division, I helped the production team to make the
raw tahooshi and I also came to tahooshi’s selling location to help the
execution team to sell our product. Thank you Ergacia for giving me an
experience that i could never forget. I wouldn't trade this experience for
anything. Good luck on your business journey ahead!
When I was on my division, I think I do not give my best at all. It is because at the first
time I do my best but in the middle I get fell little confuse with our part time job.
Actually I do my job on my part time, but I do not do my job twice. The first is because I
get some problem with my leg and the second is The schedule is moving and I did not
notice it. That is my fault because some times I little do not care with the group chat
and not see the conversation, And the last one is my home so far from the place that
production be held. So, some times I make the product at my home and did not
going to the production place. If I have a chance I will do my best at all for my
division and more pay attention to the group conversation.
Simulation Business really teach me a lot of lessons. Three weeks of preparation and two weeks of execution
really impress me. I'm Rara Dzikrina Istighfaroh as a Head of Operational -Execution of Ergacia Company – Tahooshi. My
task exactly about how to produce and selling our product in the cart. My product is sushi that made with tofu and
rolled up with cassava leaves. It is very effortful when we arrange one by one the cassava leaves after it boiled with a
pinch of salt. After that we mashed the seasoning-tofu then we fill it with smoke beef, cheese, salmon,
dory, shrimp, and crabstick. We take it to steam for about 20 minutes. We take an order
by Pre-Order and on the spot.
I do a lot of preparation before the execution is held. First we
decided the place that we want to sell our product. Usually we sell it on
Dipatiukur Street and in front of our member broad house, Socialite. Then in
the other days we tried to sell it in front of STAMP Factory Outlet. So next is about
what kind of utilities that we should prepare to complete our preparation. There is
a lot, such as the ingredients, raw-tahooshi, material, and packaging also. I do as a
chef in the execution day.
In this course assignment, Business Simulation, I do learn a lot of lesson
such as how to face the customer, how to promote my product, how to build a
business from above, and maybe how to deal with my uncoorperate-friends. Now I
really know that the experience is expensive, I can manage myself, be brave and be
patient than before, managing people around me, and having a big tolerance for
others.
I am a member of Financial Team in Ergacia company. Although I am not the chief in my division (that only has 2
members), I think I have contributed my maximum effort, starting from the first report until the finance report. My job
basically consist of making reports and recapping result of sales each day while my chief handles the flow of money.
Also, I became the cashier almost every time we are open. Even though I am originally in Finance, I also
helped in producing Tahooshi.
This is my first time learning about accounting, so I am a bit lost while making
report. Thankfully, I was able to keep up by asking Miss Qorri and Mila, searching
from Google and also asking my friends.
I was glad I picked Finance as my division. Sure, the job is hard since it is new to
me. Especially when the actual profit my company gained is really far from the
previous target. But, I am able to learn about new things, not only Finance but also
teamwork. I realized that the ability to work with others is really important.
Communication is also the key, since many problems started from
miscommunication. Overall, I am happy that I joined Ergacia company and also
Finance team
In this two weeks, I learned a lot from business simulation project. First of all, we divided into two
groups from our usual tutorial class. I’m on Igan’s team. We planned to make a sushi
from tofu covered up by daun singkong. We divided or job-desk, and I got the
responsibility to be the COO.
It was not easy to be a COO. Operation management is like the spine in your
body. It was a tough job for me and my team. Operation itself supervise execution
and production.
At first, I made so many mistakes in operating system. I did not often work
on the field, such as participate more often in producing the product. Well, I thought
that my job-desk was different with others, I worked more behind the curtain, but I
realized, as a leader in a division, I have to be the example from my co-workers,
and that’s why I was wrong.
From there, I learnt and I’m working myself to fix my mistakes. I
participated more, fetch my sleep-time to make a better plan, strategy, and
system to build up the operation team to be a better one.
And so far, I did learned something from this business simulation. It is
hard to make a start-up, there will be some ups and downs, but you have to keep going
and never look back. Don’t give up easily, look how far you’ve done.
Times flew so fast, I can’t imagine I have been passed the business
simulation. At first I think I can not survive and make it in this business
simulation, but with the support from all of my companymates I can make
it and passed it smoothly. Lot of a things that I do and lot of thing that I
learned from this business simulation. For example from this business
simulation I know how it feel and I know that working for a company is a serious
stuff, you cannot play around with it. I think I did a lot thing for this
company, because you know the operational team is the heart of business
activity, without operational team there is no product that created and sell.
I also think I did a lot to in the operational team such as buying raw
material and coking it till it can be sell. If you want to know the things that I
should improved from the business simulation,I should improved one thing that
is I should not reclutant to state an opinion, because I feel a little bit shy to state
an opinion. And also I should criticize the operatonal system because I think the
system is not very effective at all, I have the idea of effective system but I feel reclutant
to state it hahahaha.but it is already passed and what do I expect for it hahaha. I think
that’s enough self reflection from me. Thank you!
.In Ergacia Company I became marketing staff. In marketing, my job desc is
to promote our product, Tahooshi. I think in Marketing, I already did all of
our jobdesc like ask people to post about our product in their social media,
take picture of people that bought our product, update Tahooshi’s instagram
picture and Instagram story. Beside that, I asked my friend to come to our booth
and try our product. I help my other partner to find place where we can sell our
product like event that being held around November in Bandung. But I feel that I
didn’t do really well in marketing team, especially in promotion because our
product didn’t reach our maximum target.
After that, because in operational team need more people, I help them
and become execution team. I come to Dago Asri every night to sell our product
and do packaging. Also, I attend that time when we sell our product in STAMP and
still do packaging stuff. I also joined selling product in SBM. I did pretty well in
execution team because I did all my job desc.
Starting Business Simulation, I always wanted to
become one of the Marketing team. But, I was immediately chosen by the team
members to become the secretary, this was because I was known to get job like
this done and I can be counted on writing tasks and by being a secretary I learned
a lot on being quick, detailed, and précised.
In my time of being a secretary, my job was to list and write all of the
decisions made in meetings as a form of written statement. I was also in charge of
writing all kinds of reports (except finance) so my job was behind the desk and not
direct contribution. But, because of the lack of team members from Operation
team, I helped them sometimes in production, and sometimes in execution.
Because my job will pile on the end and not while execution occurs, I helped
in a lot of fields. Including giving opinions regarding marketing, and
determine prices estimation with Finance. I also worked directly under CEO
and co-CEO command so I also contributed in big decision making and I also
helped HR team when there was an internal problem on Operation team as a
mediator.
Overall, I think I did my job based on my job description pretty well. I might not intensely
worked hard like operation team as it was their job desc after all, but I tried to help them as best as I can. I might not
contribute intensely too, purely because I fell sick for a few days. I also had troubles with time management a little bit,
and I’m still trying to fix that weakness of me. I also feel like I didn’t do as much as my other team members, and I feel
guilty because I know I can do so much more for them. But, I’m thankful that all of our team members are tolerable
towards one another after all. I thank them for the business experience and all the lessons learned. Even though conflict
arises, target wasn’t achieved, and we didn’t do our maximum on this business simulation, we grew and we learned
together as a team. By this, I hope we can achieve great things in the future. Thank you Ergacia!
