1.1 General Management
In the beginning of our work, we talk about what is our company goals
and how we will reach that goal. And we realize that to reach this goal we need
to do it right and effective so we formed some divison; marketing, operation,
finance and human resourch management. Not to forget for each division there
is person in charge so everything that we will do is under control. We also make
a job description to make our member understand what will they do later. We
also agree on using POACE method to run our company and SMART method
to make a plan.
Brainstroming is a method we use to choose our product because this
method allowed people with different way of thinking share their ideas. We also
try to make our member get close each other by make some event like gathering
at Raka’s house, here we try to combine some diversity and produce a nice idea,
beside that we also build some good manner to our member. We add some
values to our product by make something new
When we have our final ideas for product we start to divided some job
according to the job description that we already made.
But how to do it effectivelly? Different person have different activities, so
we choose to make a schedule and absences to makes sure that everyone work
effective and maximum.
We had a parameter to measure how successful our work later. Beside
measure how succesful we are, each day we always keep our eyes on the total
number of material we will use.

1.2 Human Resources Management
Human Resource Management. An organisation cannot build a good team
of working professionals without good Human Resources. The key functions
of the Human Resources Management (HRM) team include recruiting
people, training them, performance appraisals, motivating employees as well
as workplace communication, workplace safety, and much more. Generally
our Human Resource Management do something with purpose to make our
member get close such as motivation and gathering. We one do gathering
and do some games we also try to mix the different kind of thinking in our
member. Here comes some argument and problem too. Sometimes some of
our member got into quarrel at this time Human Resource Management need
to make both of them open their mind. Quarrel is a common thing in a
company.
Maintaining Work Atmosphere
This is a vital aspect of HRM because the performance of an individual in
an organisation is largely driven by the work atmosphere or work culture that
prevails at the workplace. A good working condition is one of the benefits
that the employees can expect from an efficient human resource team. A
safe, clean and healthy environment can bring out the best in an employee. A
friendly atmosphere gives the staff members job satisfaction as well.

Human Resource Management
a. Bounding
This is was held on November 14th, 2015 in Raka house. In Raka’s
house, we were playing some games to strengthen our friendship. More

we can evaluate ourselves.
b. Job description
Our first meeting held on October, 21st 2015 during introduction to
business class. In this first meeting we formed the organization structure
through a consultative meeting (musyawarah). The decision is taken
through all members agreement. The organization structure consists of
CEO, Secretary, Finance, Marketing , Production, Sponsorship dan
Relation, Logistics. Then we divided group members into parts in it.
After we formed the organizational structure, finally we also formed the
job description for every part of it.
1.3 Operations
A. About our product
The main product in our company is potato, but we also provide cassava
for variation of our products. We make brand new snack from potato and
cassava. From potatoes we make Nuggetattoes, French Fries, and
Tarotattoes. And from cassava we make Potutu. We also make two special
sauces which are sweet and sour sauce and aslo mayo cheese sauce. Our
expectation in our products is that it can be received and enjoyed in the
tongue of the people and can steal their hearts to come back to buy our
product. Before we decide to make our products, we choose cassava to be
our main product and formed as Cassava fries and Combro, but cassava is
actually really hard be bitten, so we changed that cassava with potatoes
because potatoes has much more soft texture. We still use cassava as our
product which is Potutu. We did three times research to find the best taste of
the food and a time for the baverages. Our baverages are choco melt and
squashes (orange and strawberry).
B. How our products produced until ready?
We produced some of our products directly in our stand and some of the
others are not directly there. The product which is produced directly in the

1.4 MARKETING
A. Marketing Research
In our effort to know and target our market around Dago, Taman
Lansia and Riau, we do our research and observation in those areas. We
use the direct observation method to know our market and competition
because we think that direct observation is the most suitable method for
this because firstly, observing and interview the people and customer
walking around that area didnt cost as much as to building a focus group.
Second, we do it for knowing the condition in that area. The competition
and strategic places in all those three area, the flow of pedestrians and the
preferences of the local. And third, we want to observe firsthand the
activity in those areas and look for inspiration for what to sell. With direct
observation we can gather many data but there are some minus point for
that. We gather data only for that particular time so there are many
circumstances that may come when we executing our bussines. There’s
Pag
e14
also about perspective. Because our time is limited, we decides to split
the obervation group into three, each go to their destination. Because of
that there may be a difference in opinion about each places if one group
goes into another place. To countermeasure this we are preparing
contengencies if something goes wrong in execution and we count the
people who passes by for our consideration on finding which is the most
strategic place between Dago, Taman Lansia, and Riau.
Taman Lansia
1. Observer : Raiza Azkaril
Method : Direct observation from inside and outside of taman
lansia, looking for competition and strategic place.
Then he waited in front of Taman Lansia gate and
then proceeds to count the rate of people and
interview their preferences about food.
Result :
09.20A.M, there were not many people bought
food or snacks sold. Then, he went out from
Taman Lansia and travelled around the street
outside the park.
10.00 until 12.00 A.M the food stands began to
open and there were about 40 people pass by every
10 minutes.
There will be about 240 people in an hour at the
average rate, and 20% of them bought some food
and snacks under Rp15000, 00. And he also had
some interview with people there about what kind
of food that usually bought. Based on the
interview, people there used to like a cheap, big
portion and can make them full. They also prefer to
have common food rather than the new one. Their
willingness to pay is under Rp10000, 00.
2. Observer : Muhammad Raka Rio Imam Subekti and Meygan
Faozal Holieff
Pag
e15
Method : Direct observation from the gate and aroud Taman
Lansia. They waited in front of Taman Lansia gate,
then proceed to count the rate of people and interview
their preferences about food.
Result :
At 12.00 P.M. They stayed at the entry gate to
observe the situation there first, they calculate
there were around 180 people on the park and
about 90 people passed by per hour.
From 01.00 P.M until 02.00 P.M there were fewer
students rather than in the morning instead there
were more people who went there only to take a
rest from their last activities even they didn’t enter
the park, so we could say that they went there only
to sat and used the Wi-Fi facility and at about after
30 minutes, then they left the park.
At 02.00 P.M they began to enter Taman Lansia,
there were around two or three groups of people
with only two Cuanki sellers at the entry gate.
They walked to the end of the park and found
more people there; at the backside, there are people
who offered photograph service with Rp 10.000,00
per photo.
At 3 a clock, they back to the entry gate and saw
more people than morning. 50 peoples in 10
minutes and around 300 people in an hour. When
we ask to the peoples about what did they want to
eat at there, most of them said that they want to eat
main courses under the cost of 20.000 rupiah.
Dago
1. Observer : Jasmine Danella and Gina Anggiri
Method : Direct observation from around Dago street. They
walked around dago, then proceed to count the rate of
people and ask around about how to get permission to
sell.
Result :
Pag
e16
50 until 100 people walk aside the road. From the
result, we got the detail information about the
pedestrians. Most of them are male and it is about
70 percent.
Some of them are more likely look like college
students, and we guess that they are mostly come
from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Padjadjaran
University, Institut Teknologi Harapan Bangsa,
Universitas Komputer and LIKMI.
2. Observer : Fajar Sagita Oendiarto and Rizki Aditya Maulana
Method : Observing the strategic place and competitor
Result :
Place to sell at JETSET
Information on competitor like siomay, batagor
and sosis
3. Observer : Andi Muhammad Al Fayed Z. P.
Method : Direct observation on CFD from lower Dago to
upper Dago (near circle K) and observing social class
Result : Pedestrians in Dago are coming from middle up
(Family groups) and Middle bottom (College students,
youth). In Dago itself, crowd moment is usually
happen between 8 until 9 a.m.
Riau
1. Observer : Santika Prameswari and Aulia Nisfulaili
Method : Direct observation on stamp until BIP
Result :
105 people passed through the streets, and located
in front of the Stamp outlet or POS INDONESIA
at 9:30 to 10:00 and the people who pass through
these roads are middle-class people.
We take the place in around Passion outlet until
LIA English course at 10:15 am until 10:45
Pag
e17
am. In there, we were counting again and there are
about 189 people.
2. Observer : Rizki Aditya Maulana and Amaania Rizkia
Method : Direct observation on stamp until BIP
Result :
2.30 until 4.00 o’clock and we can assume that
maybe around 150-250 cross the street per hour
and we can say that Riau Street is crowded.
From our research we can see that food sellers sell
their food in front of factory outlet along Riau
Street and we can’t see food sellers who sell their
food on the sidewalk
Besides, we had spread the questionnaire and we describe it to the
diagram bellow :

ii. Price
With considered the cost of raw materials, value also suitable for
our targeting customer, we result the price for each products;
French Fries : Rp15000,00
Nuggetatoes : Rp15000,00
Tarotatoes : Rp15000,00
Potutu : Rp15000,00
Strawberry Squash : Rp8000,00
Orange Squash : Rp80 00,00
Chocomelt : Rp8000,00
We set the same price for all foods because the cost approximately
equal. This reason also be used to the drinks.
iii. Place
We think that JETSET Dago (Ir. Djuanda Street Number 116
Bandung) is the strategic place to sell our product. This decision
based on the market research also all aspect views.
iv. Promotion
In last month before the due day, we made two kinds of
promotions, there are;
Direct promotion with poster and flyer
We spread the poster and flyer into 3 main places;
1) ITB areas
2) Around ITB

b. Customer Management
We plan that we have unique service to serve the customers. This
below is the flow:
1) When the customers come, we explain the menus and customers
order the product in cashier. There is person to control the order to
production division. That order person will shout to the dorm
“Rampok (the name of product) (the number of the order)”, for
example “Rampok Nuggetatoes satu!”
2) After that, all production people do collaboration to serve the order
with agile.
3) And the last is production people give the product to the order
person and she gives it to the customers with say, “Hati-hati
kerampokan makanan dan minuman yang lain.”
1.5 Finance

2.1 HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
Every decision we make does not appear suddenly. We trough many
obstacle to reach one main idea and argument become a must here. A Problem
such as different opinion, dicipline and emotions often come and distract our
member from working.
Disagreements arise as a result of our member’s creativity. Here HRM
work, they have to manage diversity. Almost everyday there is quarel between
member. Here CEO have to embrace every members so
For dicipline problem HRM apply some rules like fines. For them who is
late have to pay some fines.
Often problem comes when there is miss comunication. Not only for the
CEO but all of member have to keep their selfishness and support each other.
2.2 OPERATIONS
On the first day, the problem we face is about time. We come late and give
effect on other thing like tent and prepare for other decoration. Fortunatlly we
still open on time. Another problem is about stove. We use two stove but
unfortunatly one of the stove can’t work well so we choose to use one stove
plus one portable stove. Beside the utensill our product quality get down for
specific one is nuggetattoes. We try to make it better by changing the way we
fried it. It is about at two p.m. A rain comes and make our boot chaos.
On the second day most of our activity run well,in the middle of Car Free
Day we have a lot of order. There is one customer that order many of our
product of course it brings us joy and chaos at the same time. After we finished
the order we are late for restocking.
2.3 MARKETING
Our marketing not so active to promote our product or we can say that the
marketing start late so people didn’t recognize us. Also to make a permission
we have some trouble too. Somehow we can’t do it maximize on social media.

On the D day, finance work as cashier, accepting order, giving order and do
the payment process. Finance record every order. Here sometimes it is difficult
to find changes for the customer. When a customer order something often they
are not ordering trought the front table so sometimer the order got mixed. For
cashier we need to become more patient because there is so many kind of
customer.

The business simulation activity that has been done by BandEat cohas
achieved its goal which is to sell about 800 of our product and charity. The
product have achieved its goal which is to sell about 800 products. And for the
charity, is still work on progress. And we’re planning to give charity on
December 4th. And based on our progress, it is also goals achieved.
Based on the activity from business simulation which is from the making of
the company (October, 21st) until the end of execution (November, 22nd), there
are so many lessons that we can learn. The first that we can learn is that we have
to be open minded to all opinions from people. What I mean is that from the
very begining, we need to decide what is the name of the company and what is
the meaning of it. After give a name for the company, we also discussing what
kind of product that we want to sell. And also discussing how to decide the
system and standard of procedure. The second lesson that we got is that we need
to be able to tolerate. People do make mistakes. When people do make
mistakes, thats the time where our patient are being tested and the best we can
do is tolerate and try to tell them whether they do it wrong. Tolerate is not
always when people do wrong. Tolerate are also when people did as they
usually do, because in this company there many people from many regions.
Some of us come from Bandung, Malang, Bojonegoro, Blitar, and many more.
So our culture and habbit are different. The third is that we need to be initiative.
Be initiative means when someone do something, we offer them our assistant
and try to help them. This makes the job could be done faster and also give us
an extra knowledge (i.e. how to peel the potato). The next lesson that we learn
from this business simulation is that we can’t bring feelings into business. This
means is that we can not bring our own problem inside the company. If our
problem from the outside of company are brought to the company, it makes us
didn’t work properly. the other lesson that we learn is that if the company has a
problem, be soluble (giving solution). And don’t get mad. If someone or some
people get mad/angry, this makes the atmosphere in the company gets bad. It is
better to calm down and try find the solution as fast as we can. It is better to
work in peace than work in angry state. The sixth lesson we can learn is that we
need to considerate to others. We don’t know each persons background. So
don’t be judgemental and try to understand them first. We also learned how to
be a men who are so busy and try to manage our time well. Why we need to
CHAPTER 3 CONCLUSION AND LESSON LEARN
Pag

manage our time well? Because in live there are so many occasions that are
planned and ocassions that are suddenly happens. The same with this business
simulation. We all busy with the business simulation. and in the other hand we
are busy trying to face Engineering and Design midterm. The other is that we
need to plan everything as good as possible. Because on the field where we try
to do as planned is not always gone well. For example the relation division.
They planned to ask for cooperation to some companies in bandung in hope to
get extra capital for 1,000,000 IDR. But instead, their proposal are rejected by
almost all of them. There are also we can learn that we need to communicate it
well. Because based on our experiment, if we didn’t communicate well we
could buy something that is not exactly the type that production team looking
for. And the next is that we should be strong mentally and physyicly. Mentally
is because it is not only us that are selling in those area. There are many of them
come from SBM with many kind of unique product and uniquely dressed their
stand or booth. And physyicly because in these 2 days, we might be unable to
sleep properly and eat properly. we start to abandoned time to eat and our time
to sleep. Even one of our member only start sleeping at 4 a.m and wake up at 6
a.m to preparation for the execution days. The next is that we need to be a
hardworker. Because if we did not work hard, we would be not well prepared
for the execution days. And if we didn’t prepared for the execution days. There
will be chaos inside the company. the next is that we still need to learn many
things from those who are more experience in business. There could be our
senior in SBM or our lecturer in SBM. Or it could be someone who can cook
well. That way we can learn and try to minimize the mistakes that can be done
by us as an amateur in this business simulation. and the last is, based on our
business simulation is we need to be active. Active in here means a lot. In
planning we need to be active because each divisions have different kind of
requirements. We also need to be active when we are trying to decide which
products will be sold. And we need to be active because the financing of the
company is not easy. And also we need to be active in operation so that the
product that we are making is good in taste. And many in quantities so that we
can sell them to make the most profit that we can get.
