Celebrating Success!

Congratulations and THANK YOU for your giving to Appalachian Christmas Outreach of North

Carolina Baptists on Mission. You gave 51 filled backpacks for children of Appalachia and mone-

tary donations of $835.00. With this money, 30 additional backpacks were prepared after cover-

ing the cost of purchasing Bibles and empty backpacks.

Twelve other churches brought filled backpacks to our collection center. The total number deliv-

ered to Shelby Mission Camp from here was 372. Thanks to Pete Hall for arranging for the deliv-

ery.

Across North Carolina 13,645 backpacks were collected and taken to many places in five states of

the Appalachian region. How grateful we are that through these gifts so many children heard

the message.

Sing Christmas!

Our Christmas Musical has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 6 at 6:30.

Make plans to join us for Sing Christmas!, a beautiful celebration of the

Christmas season featuring our Sanctuary Choir & Orchestra. Following the

musical we will enjoy a time of fellowship in our gathering Place.

FBC 2019 Quarterly Business Meeting

There will be a quarterly business meeting on

Wednesday, January 23 at 6:15 p.m. in the

Fellowship Hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Attention All Committee Members

In an effort to help our committees work as

efficiently as possible, we are asking each of

our current 2018 committee chairs to call a

meeting of the 2019 members of your com-

mittee. These meetings will be for the purpose

of electing officers for the coming year, and

selecting a regular meeting time for 2019.

Our newly elected 2019 Committee Chairs are

responsible for turning in the names of their

committee officers and meeting times for 2019.

This information should be given to the church

office no later than January 10, 2019.

We appreciate all our committee members for

the work they have done in 2018. Thank you to

all those who have agreed to serve in 2019. We

look forward to serving with you!

Guatemala Lunch

On Sunday, January 27, we will enjoy a soup

lunch together after the 11:00 service. This will

be a fundraiser to equip our Guatemala Mission

Team when they go to Guatemala in July, 2019.

Please make time to come to the Fellowship Hall

and join us for a good cause and some great fel-

lowship! Reservations are not needed and there

is no charge. We are only asking that you make a

contribution to our Guatemala Mission Fund.
