Christmas Concert You are invited to attend the Jackson Hole Chorale's Christmas Concert here at OLM Church, this Sunday, December 3 at 4:00 p.m. They will perform "A Ceremony of Car-ols" by Benjamin Britten with Harp accompani-ment. Our church handbell choir and a string ensemble will also play at this concert. Jackson Community's Nativity Sets will be displayed in the Parish Hall. There is no admission fee and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Advent Penance Service In preparation for the coming of Christ at Christmas we want to be ready to accept his love and be able to do whatever He asks of us. In order to do so, the Church encourages the parish community to come together to hear the Word of God, to pray and to sing in a for-mal liturgy called the Rite of Penance. Gath-ered together, we recognize our individual sinfulness and the harm it does to the whole community. With song, prayer and Scripture we ready ourselves for confession and absolu-tion.

Servicio de Penitencia para el Adviento En preparación para la venida de Cristo en la Navidad, queremos estar listos para aceptar Su amor y hacer cualquier cosa que nos pida. Pa-ra poder hacerlo, la Iglesia anima a la comuni-dad parroquial a unirse a escuchar la Palabra de Dios, a orar, y a cantar en una liturgia for-mal llamado el Rito de Penitencia. Reunidos juntos, reconocemos nuestro pecaminosidad individual y el daño que hace a la comunidad entera. TERCERA PARTE: COMPARTIENDO UNA COMIDA La Oración Eucarística La larga oración que sigue nos lleva al centro de la Misa y al corazón de la fe. Mientras las palabras de la ora-ción varían de un domingo a otro, la oración siempre tiene esta estructura: 1) Rogamos a Dios que nos acor-damos de todos los hechos salvadores de nuestra histo-ria. 2) Recordamos el evento central en nuestra histo-ria, Jesucristo, y en particular, el memorial que nos dejó en la noche antes de que se murió. Recordamos su pa-sión, su muerte, y su resurrección. 3) Después de haber recordado con gratitud todas las acciones salvadores que Dios nos ha hecho en el pasado, pedimos que Dios continúe esos hechos de Cristo en el presente: Oramos que nos hacemos un solo cuerpo, un espíritu en Cristo. Invitación La oración empieza con un dialogo entre el líder y la asamblea. Primero, el sacerdote nos saluda con “Y el Señor este contigo.” Luego nos pregunta si estamos listos y dispuestos a acercarnos a la mesa y renovar nuestro compromiso bautismal, ofreciéndonos a Dios: “Levántense los corazones.” Y decimos: “Lo tenemos levantado hacia el Señor. Estamos invitados a dar gra-cias al Señor, nuestro Dios. Y contestamos: “Es justo y necesario.” Dar “gracias y alabanza” se traduce en grie-go el verbo Eucharist.

PART THREE: MEAL SHARING The Eucharistic Prayer The long prayer which follows brings us to the very cen-ter of the Mass and heart of our faith. While the words of the prayer may vary from Sunday to Sunday, the prayer always has this structure: 1) We call upon God to remember all the wonderful saving deeds of our his-tory. 2) We recall the central event in our history, Jesus Christ, and in particular the memorial He left us on the night before He died. We recall His passion, death, and resurrection. 3) After gratefully calling to mind all the wonderful saving acts God has done for us in the past, we petition God to continue those deeds of Christ in the present: We pray that we may become one body, one spirit in Christ. Invitation The prayer begins with a dialogue between the leader and the assembly. First, the priest greets us with “The Lord be with you.” He then asks if we are ready and willing to approach the table and to renew our baptis-mal commitment, offering ourselves to God: “Lift up your hearts.” And we say that we are prepared to do so: “We lift them up to the Lord.” We are invited to give thanks to the Lord our God, and we respond: “It is right and just.” To give “thanks and praise” is translat-ed in Greek to the verb Eucharist.

Homemade Breakfast in Jackson We whip up a batch of buttermilk pancakes every third Sunday (with the exception of sum-mer months). The batter is made from scratch with real buttermilk, flour, sugar and all the mystery ingredients to make our pancakes world-famous! We also provide sausage or ham, potatoes with green peppers, onions and seasonings with juice and coffee for a very rea-sonable $7/adults and $5/children 8 to 12 years of age (youngsters under 8 eat free). Each Sunday a team of about 8 to 10 Knights sets tables in the Parish Hall, cooks and cleans up. Join us in December!

Desayuno Casero en Jackson Cocinamos una tanda de pancakes cada tercer domingo del mes (excepto en los veranos). La masa se hace con suero de mantequilla, hari-na, azúcar y los ingredientes secretos que hace los pancakes mundialmente famoso! Provee-mos salchicha o jamon, papas con pimiento, cebollas y especias, con jugo y café por el pre-cio económico de $7/adultos y $5/niños de 8-12 (los menores comen gratis). Cada domingo, un equipo de 8-10 Caballeros pone las mesas, cocina, y hace la limpieza. Únase con los de-más en Diciembre y traiga a sus familiares y amigos.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone... from the 48 members of the Knights here at Our Lady of the Mountains. We want to thank everyone who attended last weekend's Pan-cake Breakfast. The proceeds support our campaign to award $500 scholarships to all our Diocesan Seminarians.
