ISG offers a comprehensive construction service including; Restoration and refurbishment - We are adept at transforming old jaded real estate into vibrant new workplaces and restoring historical buildings back to their former glory.This includes considerable structural remodelling such as stripping back or retaining existing facades, removing sections of slab and replacing staircases and lifts, substantial mechanical and electrical (M&E) works, through to complete infrastructure upgrades. Our teams also undertake all temporary works as sectional demolition and reinstatement work is carried out.

Fit out - We change empty space into our client’s vision. Our teams have delivered bespoke interiors for some of the world’s most successful and well-known organisations in their respective fields. Working with their consultants, or interpreting their brief to deliver a design and build project, our collaborative approach has resulted in award-winning workplaces across the world. Our teams have experience working in occupied workplaces, allowing our clients to continue their daily activities, saving them both time and money. We are also used to working in multi-tenanted buildings and in close proximity to neighbours, enforcing strict procedures to ensure their well-being and comfort at all times.

International multi-services organisation

In 2011 our client awarded ISG the fit out of their new European headquarters in Frankfurt. They had recently leased the 15th and 41st floors of the newly built, and nearly fully occupied, high rise building Opernturm. With move dates set well in advance, the project schedule and completion date were mandatory.

The 15th floor accommodates more than 60 flexible work stations within a variety of single and double offices as well as open space areas. This floor incorporates state-of-the-art video conferencing facilities and a selection of meeting rooms and informal break-out areas. The 15th floor also houses our client’s main reception area.

The 41st floor provides office accommodation and boardroom meeting facilities for the European Board of Directors and features high quality finishes throughout. The Directors’ reception and corner spaces have ceiling heights of more than nine metres which creates an exceptional focal point to this landmark office.

The offices are designed to be among the most green and energy efficient places within the City of Frankfurt and feature a new ceiling construction and an environmentally friendly light installation.

Due to tight security procedures the project required careful planning and implementation to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that the programme was not compromised.

Salesforce.com

Headquartered in the USA, Salesforce.com is an innovative IT firm that is a major provider of Cloud Software Services. In late 2011 ISG was awarded the fit out of the company’s new office in Munich, that although leased as a newly finished space, required Salesforce.com’s corporate identity throughout. The design specified a fun environment to accommodate approximately 140 employees. As well as creating private and open plan office space, the scope of works included the creation of a new reception area, training and conference rooms of various sizes, and associated huddle rooms. In addition the project incorporated the creation of copy and print stations and tea points throughout. The ISG team also installed new audio visual equipment and supervised all fixtures and furniture. The design incorporated a strong use of colour with 31 different colours used throughout the project. This included paint in a range of specialist colours that were based on natural pigments. These were sourced and imported from the USA, then mixed locally. The colour theme extended to the carpets, that were sourced not only to match the wall colours perfectly, but also for their high percentage of recycled content. The design required numerous junctions between the wall colours and the various textured carpets. The ISG team’s strict attention to detail came to the fore here and resulted in a clean and crisp finish throughout.

Our client is a global leader in the petrochemical industry. In 2011 it relocated its German headquarters to the heart of Hamburg City.

Due to our client’s corporate obligation to guarantee a fixed move-in date to its employees, the tight construction schedule and completion date was non-negotiable. The client operated a strict health & safety regime and wanted the first trial of its newly designed Loss Prevention System implemented on the Hamburg project.

The project encompassed a strip out and refit to a bespoke design. This included the construction of a new reception area, several multi-media meeting rooms, a post room, bathroom facilities and an employee break-out area. High level media kitchens were also installed on each of the five floors. Priority was given to the construction of the server room and the four IDF rooms to ensure these were handed over ahead of the rest of the project to facilitate our client’s business requirements.

Our client operates a very strict security protocol and this required heightened attention to planning deliveries and the sequencing of works.

In total more than 120,000 man-hours were worked and the project was completed with zero reportable accidents, heralding our client’s new health & safety initiative a success.

Cisco was founded in Germany in April 1993, employing over 1,100 people throughout its offices in eight German locations, and approximately 71,000 employees worldwide.

ISG delivered the €1.4 million lump-sum, turn-key fit out of new office space for Cisco in Stuttgart’s city centre. The project entailed the demolition of existing dividing walls and the replacement of all technical installations. A new office layout was created by installing high quality plasterboard walls and glazing and replacing all of the flooring with contemporary finishes that define the location of different teams around the office.

The existing chilled metal ceiling was retained and expanded where required and additional cooling capacity was installed within the server rooms.

An interesting feature of the project was its circular floorplan.This required the size and shape of the floor tiles to vary greatly with the fixers taking on an almost mosaic-like approach to the installation.The project was carried out in a fully occupied building and delivered over 15 weeks.

Located in the heart of the city, Google Hamburg is the commercial headquarters for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordics.

Completed over several phases, the project encompassed a range of bespoke office solutions, incorporating innovative theming, to enhance Google’s “attention to detail” strategy. The office includes a variety of themed meeting and conference rooms which have been designed to resemble aeroplane cabins, an underground station that features a train with sliding doors and quiet rooms where the ceilings imitate a starry night sky.

The 4th floor includes a three dimensional conference room designed to give the sense of being in the ocean. It features a beach themed phone booth and a swimming pool themed meeting room. This floor also incorporates a rainy village complete with cobbled floors.

In keeping with Google’s high regard for their employees’ fitness and wellbeing, the project also included the creation of a fitness studio, a games room and a massage room all of which support the employees’ various sporting groups and running clubs. A colourful confectionary station, an espresso bar and a sports cafe also provide a fun and relaxing place for Google employees to refuel throughout the day.

As with Google’s offices around the world the design of the Hamburg office reflects its local personality and culture as well as Google’s unmistakable brand.

Hackett, home of essential British tailored menswear has earned a reputation across Europe for high-quality, luxury designer clothing. In 2011 Hackett moved to one of the most luxurious streets in Germany; Goethestraße 32, Frankfurt and awarded ISG the fit out project.

Goethestraße is a popular shopping place for modern fashion followers, and a very representative address for all well-known, ambitious labels and designers worldwide. The task to maintain the Hackett appearance combined with the Streets’ look resulted in a challenging façade scheme being incorporated within the ground and 1st floor of this listed building.

The high level interior fit out had to be accommodated within the existing structure, allowing for a ‘feel-good’ and ‘wow’ factor at the same time.

The project required the design and construction of an existing ground and 1st floor, starting at the shell and core stage. Attention to detail is evident throughout the custom-built interior, starting from the arches, shelving displays, the stairway, dressing rooms and check-out areas. In keeping with Hackett’s interior style the store features bespoke moulding works handcrafted by ISG’s in-house joinery located in the UK.

The external look required extensive steelwork installations to maintain the stability via a single-piece façade element. This proved to be one of the major challenges of the project in terms of time and quality, but the team overcame the challenge perfectly without compromising Hackett’s guidelines.

Fiat

ISG completed the refurbishment of new premises for iconic motoring organisation Fiat. The project commenced with the demolition of part of the existing structure which had suffered water damage.

Foundation works and structural modifications were made and new ceilings and dry walls were installed to bring the building up to a standard ready for the interior fit out. The design by German architect Hamacher Köhler was tailored to portray Fiat’s international brand image.

La Tagliatella

ISG’s team in Germany has successfully completed the fit out for famous restaurant chain La Tagliatella in Cologne in Northrine-Westfalia.

Challenges included the creation of a small mezzanine-level seating area in the centre of the building which was constructed in steel. In total the project comprised five levels, two of which are for guest dining with the other three designated for food storage, cooling and cooking as well as restrooms and office administration.

Located in a listed building, in the historical market square known as Heumarkt, the 160-seat restaurant is now one of the largest restaurants in the area.

Invesco

Situated in the heart of Munich, the new office for Invesco is located next to a number of popular landmarks including the Sendlinger Strasse shopping precinct and Germany’s most famous baroque church, Asamkirche.

The stylish design replicates the high-quality environment that Invesco demands across its international office network. Specialist features include bespoke carpentry and an impressive signage system displaying illuminated world maps that are crafted from glazed Plexiglas and present Invesco’s office locations across the globe. In addition to the architectural works, the project included a complex technical installation to meet Invesco’s high security requirements as well as the safety and well-being of its employees. The project was delivered over a five-week programme and now houses circa 65 Invesco employees.
