What is the Match Play?

Match Play is used as the second stage to a championship competition, which in itself consists of two further stages; the Elimination Round, and the Finals Round.

During both rounds archers compete against one another, head to head, according to a seeding chart, where the winner of a match eliminates his opponent, and proceeds to the next round.

The Olympic Round is shot at the 70m distance on 122cm faces.

The Compound Round is shot at 50m on 80cm faces, 6 ring targets.

No extra time for equipment failure or unexpected medical problems.

What is the Match Play?

At the end of the match, athletes or their agents must sign the score card. By doing so, they indicate that they agree on the sum total, the number of X’s and 10’s and who is the winner.
