Planning freedom for decentral air handling

In the planning of a decentral air-handling system, those ex-

ercising responsibility must be sure that carefully targeted

and flawless solutions can be provided for simple as well as

for highly specialized applications. And this is the reason why

so many experts view the GEA MultiMAXX family as an ab-

solute essential.

Its name is program. Multifunctional application possibilities,

application-specific materials properties, as well as demand-op-

timized air treatment components provide the guarantee for the

most efficient and cost-effective solution.

Even the operation of a high-efficiency energy-recuperation sys-

tem is a matter without difficulty with employment of the com-

plete GEA MultiMAXX Ergo system. For more detailed informa-

tion on these possibilities, please see our separate documentation.

GEA MATRIX – intelligent control technology

Just the right turn for the right room climate

If requested, the proven GEA MATRIX control unit will be in-

tegrated into the GEA MultiMAXX at the factory. Your bene-

fit: only completely tested equipment will be supplied to your

construction site.

GEA MATRIX is available in configuration levels 2000, 3000, or

4000, with adaptation to the various possible applications. Most

of the versions are provided with the GEA MATRIX.Net dual-

cable bus system as default, through which all GEA MATRIX

units can communicate with each other. As a result, it is simple

to implement daytime and nighttime switching actions, and to

control pumps and collect error messages at a single point. GEA

MATRIX can also be connected to higher-level bus systems.

In addition, GEA MATRIX assures energy-optimized operation

of the GEA MultiMAXX. By means of the summer compensation

function, GEA MATRIX takes into account outside-temperature

influences and therefore prevents energy-intensive climate con-

trol.

Hardware and software are developed entirely at GEA. As a re-

sult of close collaboration in the company, GEA engineers can

systematically adjust the control system to match every compo-

nent – and in turn optimally exploit the possibilities of the units.

GEA support staff also profit from this arrangement by being

able to quickly and expertly react in case of any questions.

Numerous additional global modules are available as function

expansions of the standard-version local connections of the MA-

TRIX control system. Examples here are: intra-group operator

panels and clock modules, modules for activation control of ex-

haust-air fans and chillers, expansion of analog or digital input

and output signals, 0 … 10-V outputs for valves, and integration

into a LON bus system in accordance with the LonWorks stand-

ard.

All modules can be simply integrated via the MATRIX.Net bus

system. In addition, the service tools MATRIX.PDA and MA-

TRIX.PC can be used for parameterization, initial startup, main-

tenance, and data recording from the MATRIX control system.

Comprehensive control possibilities

■ Control functions in various expansion stages

■ Bus interfaces to other equipment units

■ Plug-and-play functionality

■ Energy-optimized equipment operation

■ Equipment ready to operate

■ Highly competent service

■ Global add-on modules

■ LON interface

■ Service tools

With a complete program for each area of operation, the GEA MultiMAXX system satisfies requirements placed on decentral air handling

by users in trade, commerce, and industry. The HN and HX ranges furthermore make cooling operations possible via a 2-conductor

change-over function: for both wall and for ceiling installation.

The extraordinary component diversity of GEA MultiMAXX is rounded off by the GEA MAXX Ergo, the high-efficiency energy-recupera-

tion system. The GEA MAXX Ergo offers a high-efficiency liquid-coupled energy-recovery system for decentral ventilation of hall-type

buildings: such as production floors, logistics facilities, and many other similar possibilities. Combined with the GEA MATRIX control

system, the GEA MAXX Ergo implements a maximum of cost efficiency. For detailed information on this possibility, please consult our

separate product brochures at www.gea-airtreatment.com This system is provided only as complete assemblies, including extracted-air

unit, hydraulics modules, and the GEA MATRIX control system.
