In the conference of the War Refugee Board Staff With Mr. Tress 0011cerni12g the 1200 persons taken from Hungary and now reported in the conoentration camp at Belsen Bergen, the question· of the intervention of.the International Red Cross was discussed~

In a further discussion of the problem, we have decided to request the War Refugee Board to intervene with the SWi ss Government and With the International Red Cross that they in­tercede with Admiral Ho rthy for the ·repatriation of this gToup. On the basis of recent political developments; this action has possibilities of·being successfully concluded.
