THE MISSION OF HOLY ROSARY PARISH
FRENSTAT TEXAS — THE JEWEL IN THE WOODS A PARISH OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
IN THE DIOCESE OF AUSTIN
THE PEOPLE OF HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH PRO-CLAIM THAT OUR MISSION IS TO BECOME A WELCOMING FAM-ILY. AS WE ARE UNITED WITH GOD, SO WE BECOME ONE WITH EACH OTHER. OUR ANCESTORS PASSED ON THE CATH-OLIC FAITH AND MORALS TO THEIR FAMILIES AND NOW IT IS OUR TURN.
WE RESPOND TO ONE ANOTHER IN THE SPIRIT OF NUR-TURING, HEALING AND CARING.
WE ARE A SMALL BUT GIVING COMMUNITY, DEDICATED TO THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE FAMILY, THE PARISH AND THE COMMUNITY.
WE FIND OUR STRENGTH, WISDOM AND DIRECTION THROUGH CHRIST. WE ARE STRONGLY COMMITTED TO THE CATHOLIC EDUCATION OF ANYONE WHO SEEKS GODS TRUTH.
WE ENVISION THIS PARISH COMMUNITY AS A BRIGHT LIGHT FOR THE FUTURE TO CARRY ON THE MISSION OF CHRIST. NOT ONLY FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THIS COMMU-NITY, BUT ALSO FOR THE MANY PEOPLE WHO VISIT.

IN OUR PARISH
Emmanuel To name someone or something means that we have a relationship with that entity. Family names identify us with our heritage; nicknames denote familiarity or a spe-cial bond. In the Old Testament, the meaning of a name ran deep. It identified one’s mission, even one’s very being. The amazing name “Emmanuel” was first uttered by Isaiah as he described to the frightened King Ahaz the promised one who would come to redeem the people. Emmanuel is not a frightening philosophical name, such as Omnipotent, Omniscient, Almighty. It does not con-note distance and transcendence. It does not generate reverential fear. The name Emmanuel implies closeness and intimacy and compassion. Emmanuel is the name given to the one who is coming. It means “God is with us.” God is entrusted to the care of a virgin, who will bear this child. Only God would be so compassionate to draw so near, to be so available and vulnerable. Only God could love this well. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
