The core elements focus on the fundamental importance of building and sustaining meaningful one to one caring relationships with Young People based on trust. The quality of the relationships determines the quality of the outcomes that can be achieved. It is the relationship that unlocks the potential for change.

• Darren was referred by the Procurator Fiscal Glasgow. He had an impending
charge of possession of an offensive weapon.
• Purpose was to divert Darren away from gang violence and offending.
• Diversion from Prosecution ran along side the ‘Gangs Initiative’, a
partnership between Includem and C.I.R.V./Strathclyde Police V.R.U.
• Darren offered opportunity to work with Includem for 6 months as an
alternative to being taken through the Adult Criminal Justice system.
• Throughout the 6 months intervention Includem liaised regularly with the P.F.
by way of reports and regular meetings were held between C.I.R.V. and
Includem.
• During the 6 months Darren met with 100% of his contacts.
