For Consultation NATIONAL FUND UPDATE $6.4 million contributed as of Aug 31, 2013 $12 million - 2nd quarter goal to be reached by October 31, 2013 FUND STORY At all the Youth Conferences held in the United States, the youth were invited to consider periods of service in their own locality or another cluster in their region. At one of the conferences the organizers arranged a special room during the final lunch hour and invited the youth who would consider a period of service to grab a lunch bag provided by the National Assembly and proceed to the special room. The room was set up with round tables with signs naming the various states which had youth attending the conference. At the tables, waiting to consult and eat with the youth were Auxiliary Board Members, Regional Council members and representatives from institutions to assist youth accepting the invitation for service. From those entering the special room, over 100 youth filled out and returned their application forms for service. This is one example of the efforts that the community will have the bounty to support, on a spiritual and material level, in the months to come.
