FORMAT FOR PREPARATION OF PROJECT REPORT FOR B. TECH.

1. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS:The sequence in which the project report materialshould be arranged and bound should be as follows:

j. Table of Contents

. (eferences )optional*The table and figures shall be introduced in the appropriate places.

!. PAGE "IMENSION AN" BIN"ING SPECIFICATIONS:

The dimension of the project report should be in + si,e. The project report should be

spiral bound.

#. PREPARATION FORMAT:

than! significant people/organi,ations who/that helped %ou in %our wor!. 2ou

might want to write how the% helped %ou. The ac!nowledgment section should beas short and sweet as possible3 no need to be literar% or st%lish.

e. i*( $f Table* + The list should use e4actl% the same captions as the% appear

above the tables in the te4t. 5ne and a half spacing should be adopted for t%ping

the matter under this head.

f. i*( $f Fig/&e* + The list should use e4actl% the same captions as the% appear

below the figures in the te4t. 5ne and a half spacing should be adopted for t%ping

the matter under this head.

g. i*( $f S0b$l*1 Abb&e%ia(i$)* a)d N$e)cla(/&e - 5ne and a half spacing

should be adopted or t%ping the matter under this head. $tandard s%mbols&

abbreviations etc. should be used.

h. Table $f C$)(e)(* + The table of contents should list all material following it as

well as an% material which precedes it. The title page and Certificate will not find

a place among the items listed in the Table of Contents but the page numbers of

which are in lower case (oman letters)i.e. i& ii etc.*. 5ne and a half spacing should

be adopted for t%ping the matter under this head.

i. Cha2(e&*- The chapters ma% be broadl% divided into 6 partsi. 7ntroductor% chapter&

ii. Chapters developing the main theme of the project wor!

iii. Conclusion.The main te4t will be divided into several chapters and each chapter ma% be

further divided into several divisions and sub8divisions.

9ach chapter should be given an appropriate title.

Tables and figures in a chapter should be placed in the immediate

vicinit% of the reference where the% are cited.

#ootnotes should be used sparingl%. The% should be t%ped single

space and placed directl% underneath in the ver% same page& whichrefers to the material the% annotate.

#ront pages& Tables and (eferences should be numbered and referred to at

appropriate places just as in the case of chapters.j. i*( $f Refe&e)ce*-The listing of references should be t%ped + spaces below the

heading (9#9(9'C9$; in alphabetical order in single spacing left - justified.

The reference material should be listed in the alphabetical order of the first author.The name of the author/authors should be immediatel% followed b% the %ear and

other details. t%pical illustrative list given below relates to the citation e4ample

quoted above.
