In both the civil and military spheres French aerospace has long been a dominant force in world aviation. Today the Airbus Group is playing the leading role in their industry. From the A320 family and ATR 72 airliners operated and ordered by the Air New Zealand Group, to the RNZAFs new NH90 helicopters and smaller civil helicopters French products are playing key roles in New Zealand aviation. With the release of the Defence White Paper, Airbus is also pitching its products, the A400M and C295W, to form the future core of our Air Force. Our all-day Symposium will be opened by the Ambassador for France in New Zealand who has in the past worked at ICAO and ATR. We are delighted that Airbus will be joining us in Wellington this year to tell us about what the company is offering now and what it sees as the future of aerospace and aviation. They will be joined by other civil and military speakers as we look to the future of New Zealands aviation sector.
