This document provides Frequently Asked Questions regarding the “Children’s Respiration Monitor”. These are the possible issues which users can experience.

FAQ 1: When I purchase a new Children’s Respiration Monitor, what should see in the box/package?

• One Device (CHW/PHW depending on the model you purchase).

• One Instruction For Use (IFU).

• One Quick Reference Guide (QRG).

• One Belt.

• Power adapter with Plug Heads and Cable in case of PHW.

FAQ 2: The Belt of my Device has been damaged or misplaced, what should I do?

• Please contact the distributor you got it from.

FAQ 3: How can I Download the Data on to my PC/Laptop?

FAQ 4: What is the difference between a Community Health Worker model (CHW) and a Professional Health Worker model (PHW)?

• A PHW device is re-chargeable and the user can download the data on to a computer/Laptop. These two options are not available on a CHW.

FAQ 5: How do I know which model I have CHW or PHW?

• The serial number on the packaging box and the back of the device will start with “C” followed by the unique number in case of a CHW and in case of a PHW the serial number will start with a “P” followed by the number. The PHW also has a micro USB port.

FAQ 7: Why do I only see a “---“at the end of t he measurement?

• This indicates that there was either excess motion or loosely attached belt. Ensure that the measurement conditions are followed for accurate results (Refer to the Troubleshooting Guide section in the IFU).

FAQ 8: Is my Device Waterproof?

• No, your device is not waterproof.

FAQ 9: How do I clean my device and belt?

Steps to clean:

1 Turn off the device before cleaning.

2 Wipe the external surfaces of the device and the belt with a cloth dampened in mild soap solution or water.

FAQ 10: Is it mandatory for me to Disinfect the device and belt after every use?

• Yes it is mandatory to disinfect the system after every use to prevent cross-contamination. Wipe the patient contact surface of the device and the belt before every use with a clean cloth moistened with 70%Isopropyl alcohol.

FAQ 11: My system is faulty, how can i return it?

FAQ 12: I see a “Low Battery” icon, what should I do?

• In case of PHW, Charge the device. In case of CHW contact the distributor you got it from to order a new device/replacement.

FAQ 13: A “Red LED” blinks twice and the device turns off, what should I do?

• This is due to excess temperature. Allow the unit to cool and try powering ON after 30 minutes, If the issue persists, contact the distributor you got it from. If the “Red LED” appeared after power ON or while initiating a measurement, it is due to critically low battery. Charge the device to full in case of PHW. Contact the distributor you got it from to order a new device/replacement in case of CHW.

FAQ 14: “Err” is displayed at startup, What should I do?

• “Err” indicates that the accelerometer is faulty, please contact the distributor you got it from, to order a new device/replacement.

FAQ 15: Can I take a measurement with the charger connected?

• No, always ensure the charger is unplugged before taking a measurement.

FAQ 16: How can I charge my PHW device?

• Refer to the QRG for a pictorial representation on how to charge your PHW device.

FAQ 17: How will I know if my device (PHW) is charged completely?

• Check the Battery indicator on your device (Should show full).

FAQ 18: Can I use my device outdoors?

• Yes, you can use your device outdoors, refer to the Operating conditions under the Technical Specifications section in the IFU before using it for the first time.
