IT’S VERY SAFE HERE TO RETURN TO CAMPUS, FOR THE 45 STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT RETURNED YET More me/weeks away from school is potenally quite harmful for a child’s achievement and s/he is missing out on the following: • Students individually have re-set their goals and plans for the rest of this year with teachers • Some assessment deadlines have been put back for two weeks and students who are not here will miss these • Opportunies are being offered for ‘catch-up’ • Learning programmes and assessments have been re-organised to make achievement more possible HOMEWORK CENTRE Pasifika Leaders have set up a Homework Centre in the Library every Wednesday from 3.30 - 5p.m. Special invitaon to Pasifika and Mãori students but anyone is welcome. There was a full house on Wednesday. Students should take up this opportunity to do catch-up work and get some assistance from teachers who are there. TALOFA LAVA - SAMOAN LANGUAGE WEEK A range of acvies was made available for students, parcularly during Tutor Group Time, consisng of phrases for the day, challenges / quests / quizzes and videos of performances. Today students were wearing their cultural ouits. TERM 2 REPORTS Teachers are working on reports for all students to idenfy what level of achievement each student is at and what work needs to be done in the future. These will be delivered to you by your students on the last day of this Term, Friday 3 July, and be available through the Parent Portal. SPORT As of today midday, pracces and compeons may resume up to a maximum of 100 people present. Most students have re-commied to their teams and pracces have begun. Winter seasons start for Hockey 15 June, Basketball and Football 22 June, Rugby 27 June. Badminton and Netball have yet to announce commencement dates. Registraon of people playing and aending, hand and gear and changing room cleaning and sanising will take place. BUSES Standing is now ok on AT buses. Space must sll be leſt behind the driver and saniser is available on request.
