Issue No 13 - 8 September 2017

From the PrincipalThe last few years has brought horrific tales of child abuse within institutions to the forefront of the public’s mind, mostly through the Betrayal of Trust Inquiry. The government has responded with two new sets of legislation, the Child Safe Strategies of 2016 and the Reportable Conduct Scheme of 2017 which came into practice on the 1 July, which affects schools and their constituents.

The Child Safe Standards focus on organisations and their practices and is a system to promote child safety, reduce risk and respond appropriately to suspected child abuse.

The Reportable Conduct Scheme is a system to independently have oversight of responses to suspected child abuse. The scheme applies to everyone in the organisation aged 18 years or older who is employed or engaged by the organisation; employees, volunteers, contractors, office holders, ministers of religion and officers of a religious body.

The scheme means the Head of an organisation, in this case the Principal, must have systems in place to:

* Prevent reportable conduct from being committed.* Enable reportable allegations to be made.* Investigate and respond to reportable allegations.* Report allegations of criminal conduct or suspected criminal conduct to police.* Ensure allegations are appropriately investigated/notify the Commission for the Child and Young People of reportable allegations and provide updates and outcome of the findings.

The Commission MUST BE notified WITHIN 3 DAYS when the Head of an organisation has any information that leads a person to form a reasonable belief that: an employee has committed reportable conduct or an employee has committed misconduct that may include reportable conduct.

At a general staff meeting, Fintona staff have been recently introduced to the Reportable Conduct Scheme and its implications. There is a new policy regarding Reportable Conduct which is on the Staff drive on inFintona which will be updated once the Commissioner provides a draft policy document. We will also review processes and documentation around the Scheme in light of any further documentation released by either the Commissioner or the government. We are mindful that these issues must be approached sensitively and also with respect and common sense.

Fintona takes its duty of care towards our students very seriously and we are committed to providing a safe, diverse and supportive environment for them. Our policies are reviewed annually and staff updated as required. Please do not hesitate to contact me about the Scheme should you have further questions.

On a more cheerful note, this term has been another good one for the community with lots of activities to provide diverse outlets for a range of skills and interests. The Concert, the School Play, GSV sport, House competitions, incursions and excursions, Faculty weeks ,etc. are all avenues for many students to be involved whether in a key role or behind the scenes and I would like to thank all of the Staff, students and of course, their supportive parents for their contribution to the success of the School calendar.

Have a well-earned rest and a safe and interesting holiday. Good luck to the Italy tourists; we know you will have a great time and come back full of stories. If you are studying, don’t forget to work hard but take some breaks and do something pleasant and diversionary when and where you can.

Fintona’s 7th Food and Wine Festival is shaping up to be another gourmet extravaganza and with only three months to go, preparations are in full swing.

It gives the FPA enormous satisfaction to see the camaraderie of our parents who have already been working so hard behind the scenes to ensure that this year’s Festival is another resounding success. We really could not do this without your wonderful support.

Volunteers needed for Preserve MakingCalling all volunteers to help with preserves. Year 6 has kindly offered to run this year’s Preserves Stall and is looking for people who can help make preserves. It really is not as scary or time consuming as it sounds. Some of the most popular items are strawberry and raspberry jam, both of which can be made in around 30 minutes. This year, we are particularly keen to introduce a variety of savoury chutneys and relishes. We understand that preserve making may "not be your thing", but if you are happy to contribute by donating or purchasing the fruit or vegetables this would also be greatly appreciated. If you can help in anyway, please let either Jodie Gordhandas (0410 617 607) or Claire Bravin, email (Year 6 parent reps) know. Jars can be collected from Reception. Recipes for some of the more popular items can be found here. Read MoreHappy jam making!

Senior SchoolEnd of Term 3It is a hectic time in the Senior School as Term 3 draws to a close. Many students have been incredibly busy with extra-curricular pursuits such as the play, public speaking and GSV carnivals and finals. In amongst this, there is always a seeming rush of work to be completed by the end of the term.

I congratulate the Year 11 students who were successful in their applications for House Captain for 2018. I encourage the students to apply for the other leadership roles within the School, which will be announced in the final assembly. The process of a written application and interview is taking place at the moment and the staff have been very pleased with the efforts of the girls. There will be a strong group of student leaders next year, which will be a benefit to the whole school.

The end of Term 3 can be a particularly challenging time for the Year 12 girls, as the final assessment tasks take place and the goal of completing course work looms. I urge all of the Year 12 students to work steadily at this time. In the holiday break, they should take an opportunity to consolidate their learning, but, also make room for rest and relaxation, so that they can approach their trial examinations in week three and final revision period in Term 4, with energy and enthusiasm. Their teachers are offering support, encouragement and practical assistance and we feel confident that they will meet the challenges they are facing.

Please note that students in Middle and Senior Schools may wear either summer or winter uniform for the first two weeks of Term 4, however, from Monday 23 October they must were summer uniform only.

To all the Fintona Senior School families, I wish you a safe and restful holiday. I hope the Staff also enjoy a peaceful and rejuvenating break. Thank you for your enormous efforts in relation to the students at Fintona.

STEM WEEK

The month of August played host to another spectacular week of STEM. Fintona celebrated its second biannual STEM week with a smorgasbord of fun and inspiring activities. The Engineering Link Group joined us again to work with the Year 9 and Year 10 girls showcasing the many areas of engineering. It was an exciting experience for the students to be mentored by skilled engineers for the day. The students got to escape from a toxic oil spill, parachute eggs over Tourmont balcony and purify polluted water to feed people in developing countries. In another activity, the Year 9 students worked to develop an IT/Maths activity for the girls in Year 5 and Year 6. Aurasma, an augmented reality program, provided the platform to run a maths trail around Fintona. By hovering an iPad over an image, the primary students were presented with maths challenges that the Year 9 girls had prepared. A great deal of fun was had by all students in this lovely cross-age activity.

Robogals, an engineering-based group of female programmers from Monash University, ran a session for the Year 6 girls. The students were fascinated by the way the robot danced and grooved his way in response to the simple coding commands.

A journey into outer space and the far reaches of the solar system was how the Year 8s began their day at Swinburne’s Astro Physics unit. A wonderful 3D presentation, supported by the expert knowledge of a PhD astro-physicist, helped the students develop a deeper appreciation of the age, size and power of our universe. Curiosities were further ignited when the students travelled to Federation square to begin the CBD maths trail. At various points along Swanston St the student group stopped to critically evaluate and discuss the geometry of the architecture. This excursion formed part of a unit of work and the commanding city streetscape, and subsequent geometrical analysis, had many students saying that they would never look at a city building the same way again!

Guest speakers from the CSIRO and AusPost and plant pathologist, Dr Kim Plummer, provided career and tertiary pathway information for our senior girls and showed that there are many ways that students today can combine their love of maths, IT and science. Dr Plummer conducted an extraordinary masterclass in microscopy with a focus on fungi that expanded the Year 11 girls’ skills and knowledge.

A fundraiser activity involving tessellating tiles of 20 cent coins raised $420 to go to the Smith Family Learning for Life program.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

This year’s School Play, an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was presented before two sold out audiences on Friday 1 September and Saturday 2 September in the Margaret Cunningham Hall.

Over one hundred girls from Year 5 to Year 12 participated on-stage and behind-the-scenes to bring this very magical production to life. A number of inspired performances coupled with creative and inventive set and costume designs ensured a most memorable and special event.

My heartfelt thanks to the many students and staff involved in the production.

Fintona 'does what they do very well' (agit quod agit optime)at the Latin Reading Competition, 2017

Fintona has been privileged to host the state-wide Latin Reading Competition since 2015. At this annual event, Latin students from around the state come together to share afternoon tea, conversation and deliver a pre-prepared reading of a selected text. The theme for this year was Monsters and Men, where each reading narrated a tale of human versus monstrous might. The following Fintona students competed:

Year 7 - Livia Tropea and Maya MartinReading: Hercules encounters Cacus, a semi-human man-eating beast who has stolen his cattle.

Year 8 - Olivia Johnson and Mia PopeReading: Jason sprinkles the fire-breathing dragon with Medea’s drugs and is able to snatch the Golden Fleece.

Year 9 - Georgia Georgarakis and Chloe BridgmanReading: Theseus is given a skein of thread by Ariadne, Minos’ daughter, which allows him to enter the labyrinth, kill the Minotaur and escape alive.

Year 10 - Amy Chilcott and Philippa ReheReading: This passage was largely excerpted from the authentic Latin of Livy, who recounts the hand-to-hand combat of Manlius and a giant like, goofily grinning Gaul.

The standard of the competition was impressive, particularly in the higher levels where the passages of Lucan and Vergil were delivered with evident understanding not only of the verses’ content but metrical quantities. Fintona received a lion-share of the accolades this year: Mia Pope and Amy Chilcott took second place (Year 8 and Year 10), and Livia Tropea and Georgia Georgarakis should be very proud to be awarded with Best in the State for Year 7 and Year 9 respectively.

Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Briefings

On Tuesday 29 August, Reserve Bank of Australia economist, Ms Yasaman Naghiloo, visited Fintona and spoke to the Year 11 and 12 Economics classes and Commerce teachers.

Ms Naghiloo is a Senior Dealer in the Domestic Markets area of the bank. As she explained to the attentive students, Ms Naghiloo and the team she works with are responsible for ensuring the cash rate is set at the level desired by the RBA Board in its oversight of monetary policy. As all senior students of economics are aware, monetary policy (via the manipulation of interest rates) is an extremely important policy in the management of the Australian economy.

Open market operations (also known as domestic market operations) is an addition to the Units 3 and 4 Economics course this year, and it was a fantastic opportunity for the students to hear about how these

operations work, directly from someone involved in the process. Yasaman also answered questions about the role of the RBA, and spoke about her own experience of working at the Bank as a female economist.

The Year 12 students were also able to attend and economic briefing on Thursday 24August at Canterbury Girls' School. Mr Tom Carr, the RBA Melbourne economist, spoke to a large audience of year 12 students from a number of Eastern region schools. He gave an overview of the current

economic environment and the pressures that are bearing on the Australian economy at present which will be particularly relevant for their upcoming VCE examinations.

The School was fortunate to be able to undertake both these briefings from an RBA economist. Over the last year, the Bank has turned its attention to increasing the educational resources it provides, and supporting the study of economics across Australia. It has been particularly keen to encourage more students, including more girls, to study economics at high school and tertiary level. Fintona economics teacher, Ms Timmee Grinham, was appointed to the RBA’s Educators Advisory Panel in April of this year. The Panel was created to support the Bank’s new education focus. The Panel provides expert advice to the RBA on matters of education, to inform the Bank’s educational initiatives. They meet to provide guidance on the Bank’s strategy for public education and feedback on educational resources and events.

The Elizabeth M Butt Public Speaking Award 2017

An event that has become an integral part of the School calendar, the Elizabeth M Butt Public Speaking Award is testament to the eloquence and intelligence of every Fintonian. Public speaking is an intimidating task, and a common fear for many, so congratulations are in order for all girls who mustered the courage to give a speech and perhaps even overcome a personal dread.

Sixteen students from Year 6 to Year 11 competed in this year’s competition. In the Junior section, students were expected to deliver a speech on the themes “What I Love” and “What I would Love”. Speech topics ranged from a love for sweet treats, a passion for acting, and the love and gratitude that one has for one’s siblings. Although there was stiff competition, Rose Khurana in Year 7 took the prize for her moving speech on what she would love: a world free of racism.

Following the delightful Year 6 and Year 7 speakers was the Great Balloon Debate in which we were privileged to become acquainted with a range of characters, including North Korean defector and human rights activist Park Yeon Mi and the young Anne Frank whose diaries changed the world. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner, and for this section it was Mietta Morris from Year 9 who took the prize for her lovely speech as Jamie Oliver.

In the Senior section of the event, Year 10 and Year 11 girls responded to the Eric Roth quote "our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss." Congratulations to Amy Chilcott who won this section, and thus the Public Speaking Cup, with her hilarious speech that left us all in stitches. I should make special mention of Georgia Lord whose interpretation of the topic was a moving plea for individuals to remain optimistic despite personal setbacks, her speech singled out for praise by the adjudicator.

Mia Pope, our Spotlight Speaker, delivered a beautiful and eloquent speech as anti-apartheid activist and politician Helen Suzman. The topics that girls chose to discuss reflect an acute awareness of politics, world history, and social justice. It is truly wonderful to see so many young women who are critical thinkers and passionate about creating change. Evidently, the ability of delivering powerful oratory has already been learnt, with all the girls commanding a room full of hundreds with their words alone.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs Elizabeth Bradlow back, who ably adjudicated the competition, and commented enthusiastically on the performances, although it was a difficult task as every girl performed very well. While Miss Butt was unable to be present for the morning, we appreciated the two Elaines (Mrs Warne and Mrs Boucher) – former distinguished members of the English Faculty – being in attendance.

This being its 25th year, the tradition of the Elizabeth M Butt Public Speaking Competition teaches young women the art of public speaking, and gives us the skills needed to deliver our thoughts and opinions with confidence and authority. Gender inequality plagues all aspects of our society and it greatly influences a woman’s career opportunities. For women, being assertive and raising one’s voice is not something necessarily encouraged by society but luckily for us here at Fintona we are being taught how to speak up and how to do so eloquently.

Visit by author Tony Wilson

Boisterous, amiable, authentic and heartfelt; a speaker preaching realism alongside humour, teaching the best ways to address a crowd; speaking with and to interest, Tony Wilson’s words to the Year 11 English girls on Monday 4 September captivated his audience, leaving us feeling inspired and positive. Wilson spoke at length on what makes good writing and good speaking. Instead of being told to set a speech up in a rigid format, the advice he gave was to be humorous, and enjoy what you are saying. Wilson’s messages

were set against the backdrop of activities he had participated in or things he had accomplished; one was his football career (circa 1990), another his books written for the Sellwood family, who have deep roots in Australian Rules Football, and another his participation in Race Around The World (1998). For those who may not remember Race around the World, the show’s format involved eight competitors racing around the world for 100 days, recording four minute long documentaries (ten) and five ‘postcards’ from their locations.

The audience learned Wilson, an ex-Camberwell Grammar student, has always been driven, and he encouraged students to embrace their next year of studies with similar verve, but always to follow our hearts. As most are aware, where you end up can be better than where you thought you should be, and this much was furthered by Wilson, in his anecdote of his career in law, which he quit to begin his career in writing. One of his most important pieces of advice was to be creative in every outlet and to take as many chances as you can in order to do so.

We wish the girls luck when they take to the track on Wednesday 11 October.

I commend all team members, regardless of whether they achieved a top 3 place, for trying their best and representing Fintona with pride. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our Athletics coaches,

Mr Tony Marsh, Miss Georgia Griffith (’14), Miss Nana Owusu, Mr Nick Paidoussis, Mr Peter Ruff, Mr Shane Carthias and Miss Rachel Limbergfor their enthusiasm and expertise throughout the Track and Field season.

This weekend marks the conclusion of the Winter Saturday Netball season. This year we were thrilled to enter nine teams of which five qualified for the semi-finals. Our Year 8 team consisting of Lani McKernan, Sarah Stephen, Izzy Kirkham, Bridget Bolton, Lauren Smith, Shangyou Yang, Jessica Le, Natalie Xavier, Clara Pelusi won their semi-final and will compete in the Grand Final this weekend. We wish them luck!

I would like to thank Miss Mikaela Stanaway for her comprehensive organisation of the program, Miss Olivia Payne , Miss Bree McKernan (’16), Ella Norton and Molly Horan for their leadership and coaching throughout the season. My gratitude and thanks to Mrs Anne-Maree McKernan who diligently worked in the background to support our coaches and teams and I would like to sincerely thank all the parents who cheered and enthusiastically encouraged their daughters (regardless of the inclement weather!) each Saturday.

Fintona Fundraiser for One Girl

Can you remember your very first day of school? The itchy new uniform, the snapping of the camera and the neatly combed hair. Maybe you were the child too scared to let go of your parent’s hand. Or maybe you were the child who shot across the room to make some new friends. Regardless of how exciting, scary and maybe embarrassing our first days of school were, this day remains as one of our fondest memories. But, for 66 million girls, this is not a reality.

The eye-opening truth is, 66 million girls across the globe are denied an education. This overwhelming number of girls are forced to drop out of school or are completely deprived of schooling from a young age, simply because of their socioeconomic status or the fact that they are a girl. The consequence of this is evident: child marriages, unsafe pregnancies, high risks of contracting and spreading diseases such as HIV, and unemployment. Just as there are 66 million girls deprived of an education, there are 66 million equal

solutions. That’s why this year I have decided to become an ambassador for the Australian-founded charity One Girl. Over the course of three months, from August to October, I will be taking part in the #doitinadress movement and aiming to fundraise $3000 for this worthy cause.

To provide some background: One Girl is an Australian-founded charity who supports the education of young girls and women in Sierra Leone and

Uganda, through the distribution of scholarships, female sanitary products, development of school facilities and education on life and business skills. One Girl’s hard efforts have been reflected through their successes over the years and as a recent recipient of the Australian Ethical Community Grants 2017.

On Friday 20 October, the School and I will be working together to fundraise for One Girl and raise awareness among our girls about the importance of education in every women’s life. Each and every girl at Fintona is part of this solution, because each one of us have the voice and passion to support our sisters in need. We are women helping women.

Parents and guardians, you sent your daughters to Fintona to receive a prestigious education, to take up the best opportunities and to become the leaders of tomorrow. If you can secure the futures of your daughters through education, then you can also so do the same for another girl in Sierra Leone or Uganda. This is the mission of our generation, and we need your help. If you would like to donate further, please follow this link to my fundraising page: http://www.doitinadress.com/maiysha-moin

Investing in a girl? It’s a no-brainer.

FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELLOROur students are continually developing their emotional intelligence as they experience new activities, challenges or different social situations. Their emotional intelligence, which is their understanding of their own emotions and the emotions of others, greatly benefits them as adults in the workplace and in their relationships but also throughout their adolescence while they’re working out their identity, managing their emotions and juggling different social situations.

Developing coping skills to handle challenges and respond to novel situations, contributes to student’s strengthening their self-confidence. Learning to respond rather than react is obviously helpful for them to practice, especially as their brains are growing so these neuropathways are reinforced. Their own healthy inner compasses click into gear and guide them with being thoughtful, resilient and empathetic.

If interested in further reading, ‘The Mindful Child’ by Susan Greenland gives practical ways to teach compassion, curiosity, social and emotional skills by helping children to tune into themselves, whilst being connected in a busy, high-tech society..

Middle SchoolTerm 3 is quickly coming to an end and, as usual, all the girls in Middle School have been very busy working diligently in their classrooms as well as enjoying many opportunities for presenting their skills and showcasing their talents.

A much anticipated event on the school calendar was the school play, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was held last Friday and Saturday nights. Many very talented Middle School girls were involved in this year’s production including all the Year 5 and Year 6 students who were magnificent Oompa Loompas. The girls all worked tirelessly to produce a fun-filled, exciting performance, capturing the distinct personalities of the characters and brilliantly portraying their eccentricities. A huge congratulations to all the girls both on stage and off stage for their amazing work.

The Elizabeth M Butt Public Speaking finals were held last week. Arya Telfer and Paige Thompson represented Year 6, telling the audience about what they love. Emily Turner, Genevieve Retallick and Rose Khurana represented Year 7 and their topic was ‘What I would love’. Emma Puglia, Monique Solnordal and Aleen Dhaliwal represented Year 8 in the Great Balloon Debate. Each of the girls spoke confidently and with conviction and they can be extremely proud of their achievements.

It was a delight to welcome many new parents and their daughters, together with our current Year 6 parents and students, to the Year 7 2018 Information Evening. From the gasps of joy and the interested comments and questions it is evident the girls are excited about entering the next phase of their education journey and are very much looking forward to the opportunities that await them.

The girls certainly enjoyed sharing breakfast with their fathers and special friends to our annual Fathers’ Day breakfast last Friday morning. This event is being catered for again by the girls from Cooking Club and they are to be congratulated on their willingness to give up their lunchtimes to prepare the culinary delights. A special thanks to Mrs Margaret Rossborough who not only guides the girls in their cooking, but also sets up and prepares the tuckshop for the event.

I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday break and I hope you all return refreshed for a very busy Term 4.

Junior SchoolAssembliesLast week the girls in the Junior School shared breakfast with their dads and loved spending this morning with them and presenting a special Assembly. During the Assembly the girls shared their reflections about their dads, things they learned from them and many entertaining stories! It was wonderful to see some very proud fathers in the audience. I would like to thank them for sharing the morning with us, and for bravely and entertainingly joining us for aerobics.

Thank you Miss Clark and Mrs DuginaWe would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to two amazing teachers for the work they have done in Junior

School. Miss Alexandra Clark has been in the Junior School for the past year as Mrs Amy D’Angelo has been on maternity leave. We look forward to Mrs D’Angelo’s return in Term 4 and wish Miss Clark a fond yet sad goodbye from the Junior School. Our consolation is that Miss Clark will still be at Fintona in the Middle and Senior Schools and we invite her to visit us whenever she would like to do so.

We also say goodbye to Mrs Liezl Dugina who filled in for Term 3 in Year 4 whilst Miss Nina Manning was on Long Service Leave. We thank Mrs Duguna for her care and teaching of the girls and wish her all the best with her future endeavours. No doubt we will continue to see Mrs Dugina the Junior School as a Casual Relief Teacher. We look forward to Miss Manning’s return from leave and, no doubt, many interesting stories.

Year 1 City Excursion

On Thursday 7 September, the Year 1 class ventured into the city as part of our ‘Where we are in place and time’ Unit of Inquiry. Our central idea is ‘Our lives and environment can change over time’ and we have been exploring how buildings and transport have changed over the years.

Our morning started with a brisk walk down to Canterbury Train Station where we caught a train into the city, getting off at Melbourne Central station. There we viewed the amazing old shot tower with the new shopping centre built around it. We then headed to the forecourt of the State Library of Victoria to eat our snack. We were met by Tess, our wonderful guide, for our ‘Flashback’ workshop held in the Library. We explored artefacts from 100 years ago that belonged to the Wardell family who lived in Melbourne. We also went on a tour of the Library and explored the reading rooms.

We even saw some amazing artwork of Melbourne and how it had changed. After our visit to the Library, we went for a walk along Swanston Street to Federation Square where we were able to do sketches of the various buildings around us such as Flinders Street Station, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Arts Centre. Before too long, we were back on the tram and back to school! We had a wonderful day and we thank Mrs Robyn Sundberg and all of the parents who came with us. We had a wonderful day with you!

‘Fizzy Kids’ September School Holiday Event‘Fizzy Kids’ is a warm, physical and joyful new comedy theatre experience for children aged 4 to 12, that is being featured as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Multi-award winning comedian, Isabel Angus, and theatre-maker Harley Hefford introduce Izzy and Dizzy, ‘identical’ adult twins who are worn down by the pressures of being ‘all grown up’. They plan to throw a birthday extravaganza of a lifetime to help them go back in time and become kids again – because why should kids have all the fun? They are almost certain that absolutely everything will go as planned……. Apart from being fun and enjoyably silly, ‘Fizzy Kids’ uses humour and a subtle storyline to question both how we are expected to act and what we are expected to desire at various life stages.

‘Fizzy Kids’ is on during the first week of the school holidays at the Studio Theatre, Gasworks Arts Park, 21 Graham Street, Albert Park from 26-30 September (Tuesday – Saturday 1:30 pm, Saturday 3:00 pm). Bookings can be made via the event page links below

Early Learning CentreFather's Day CelebrationsOver the last week the ELC children have enjoyed hosting wonderful Father’s Day celebrations. The Jacaranda, Wattle, Banksia and Ginkgo children all enjoyed hosting their dads for beautiful breakfasts. These events are a wonderful opportunity for our families to see their children in the educational setting and to appreciate how creative, competent and knowledgeable they are.

Thank you to all the guests who came to Fintona ELC to spend time with us for Father’s Day. Each celebration was a happy and festive occasion and the children enjoyed creating gifts and making preparations for the big day. They also enjoyed being able to show off their work, knowledge and skills in their Early Learning Centre environment.

K4 Transition Learning and Development StatementStarting school is big step for you and your child. It can be both challenging and exciting. In Victoria, an approach to transition to school has been established and the Transition Learning and Development Statement (LADS) has been developed to share information about your child’s learning and development between early childhood services and schools. The LADS gives a voice to children, parents and educators as it summarises your child’s
