Who are Future PLC?O Future PLC is a media company,

which was ranked the sixth largest media corporation in the United Kingdom during 2006.

O The company publishes more than 30 magazines with different discussions such as video games, technology, films and photography

O Future PLC also owns the US Company, Future US, as a local American form of the UK based media company.

What is their company history?

O The company was first founded as ‘Future Publishing;’ in Somerton, Somerset in 1985 by Chris Anderson, with it’s first magazine ‘Amstrad Action.’ ‘Amstrad Action,’ was a monthly magazine which catered to home computer owners.

O Anderson sold ‘Future’ to ‘Pearson PLC’ for £52.7 million in 1994, but later bought it back in 1998 for £142 million with ‘Future’ chief executive Greg Ingham and Apax venture partners. Anderson left ‘Future’ in 2001.

What publications do they manage?

O Future PLC publish magazines such as, ‘T3 Magazine,’ the official ‘Total film Magazine’ and ‘Nintendo Magazine.’

O Future PLC also make their magazine subscriptions virtually available, by letting their customers download the magazine onto their phone or tablet.

‘NINTENDO’ MAGAZINE.O The official ‘Nintendo’

Magazine, was a British and Australian video game magazine which covered different game aspects of the Nintendo DS, 3DS, the Wii and Wii U video game consoles released by Nintendo.

O The magazine was first published by EMAP for twelve years, before the rights were sold in 2006 to its current publisher, Future plc.

How does ‘Nintendo’ Magazine relate to its target audience?

O ‘Nintendo Magazine,’ can keep their audience interested with articles as they constantly keep gaming fans up to date in terms of what new games are developing as well as exclusive information about Nintendo games which can only be seen within the magazine.

O The Magazine can relate to its audience as the company and the audience, all enjoy gaming. Much of the audience enjoys Nintendo, the company itself, as it did and still produces games during the audiences’ childhood. Having that nostalgic feeling from their childhood, is another reason as to why the magazine can relate to the audience.
